[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the smell of this lotion. It's so nostalgic. It makes my baby's skin so soft and smooth. Especially in the winter months when her skin gets dry. I have tried previous versions of this lotion and I love the new formula. My baby's skin feels so soft and nourished.

I am extremely disappointed with Johnson & Johnson's new formula baby lotion. I've trusted this product for years, and this reformulation completely misses the mark. First, the smell is overwhelmingly potent — far stronger than before and honestly unpleasant. A baby lotion should be gentle and subtle, not loaded with fragrance that lingers and feels irritating. Second, the texture is thinner and watery, almost like it's been diluted. It no longer feels nourishing or moisturizing. Instead of soaking in and protecting baby's skin, it feels like it just disappears, leaving skin dry again shortly after. J&J claims they are reducing ingredients by 50% and using more natural ones, but it honestly feels like all that was done was adding more water and MORE fragrance. Less effective, less comforting, and absolutely not what parents expect from a brand built on trust. This new formula feels like a downgrade in every way. Please listen to your customers and change it back. The original formula worked for generations — this one does not. 🙏

This new lotion smells terrible, leaves a sticky residue, and is more like water than moisturizing lotion. It has left my skin feeling dry and with a strange older. I have purchased Johnson's baby lotion for decades, but will not be buying it anymore, unless you bring back the original formula and scent.

My daughters skin feels soft, smooth and with a delicious smell. The combination of aloe and b5 is a game changer providing moisture in her skin all day long. It is not sticky and it absorbs completely without irritation. We use the lotion during the day and at night before bedtime. Easy packaging and great size for traveling. I can't recommend this lotion enough!!! If you want your baby's skin feeling fresh and soft this is it.

After a bath and some of this lotion that absorbed into their skin so easily, was not too think on my hands while applying, and was easy to squeeze, they had their baby soft skin back! The smell is there, but not too strong. Their skin is still soft and moisturized next day!

Just bought baby lotion and noticed the new packaging with a new formula label. Let's just say it doesn't compare to the old formula. I don't like the new scent at all. It is too strong and it leave a flowery smell that lingers on my baby boys. The old formula left them smelling like baby. Also the new formula seems thinner and not as hydrating on the skin. Unless the old formula is brought back I will be changing to a different brand unfortunately.

Whether it’s this scent or one of there many others, I’ve found them to be the best for both of my kid’s skin. This scent is that classic, clean baby smell without being too overpowering, and it makes my baby smell fresh after bath time. I didn’t know if was possible to smell more fresh/clean after a bath, but it is! The lotion itself is lightweight, smooth, and absorbers quickly without leaving a sticky or greasy feeling behind. My husband’s biggest annoyance with lotion Is how hard it is to put pajamas on the kids after a shower, but with this lotion, we’ve noticed less of a problem with that. It’s very hydrating, non-irritating, and is such a comforting addition to our nighttime routine. Overall, this is one of those baby products that lives up to the hype. NEW. FORMULA. SUCKS!!! The old bottle says "For over 125 years formulas have been specifically designed for babies, blah blah". So, I ask, WHY CHANGED WHAT WORKED FOR OVER A CENTURY!? WHAT EVERYONE LOVED?! I am 57 yrs old and have been using this my entire life. I loved the soft fresh scent and the silkiness of it. I can't stand all the new lotions that are so perfumy. Yuk!! I have gotten so many compliments on how soft my skin is and I attributed it to using this lotion my entire life. Now you've gone and ruined a good thing. The person I was shopping with and I both said we love the smell of this lotion, only to find out that it's totally different. At least offer both selections. PLEASE! Clearly there are tons of reviews here saying this exact same thing. Unbelievable! SO disappointed.
