Great shaver with good features.

I really like this shaver. I purchased this for it to be my daily shaver ti replace my Braun due to the high cost of the replacement heads. The interchangeable heads for beard and nose/head trimming is nice. However please be aware that the actual shaver model is different from the model of the bundle on the package.

Great shaver, if I didn't hit the off button

I have a less expensive model at my camper and it is very good. This one is more powerful and can be used with the adapters that come with it. The only problem I have is shaving with it. The start stop button is right where I hold it. My less expensive model is great to use. I will find a way to hold it without turning it off. The people that designed it should have taken it home and tried it, and made adjustments as needed

In all honesty I kind of liked my old Norelco a little better. I liked that the trimmer was attached and operated by a switch rather than taking it apart for trimming. With that being said, the shave is excellent and the extra blades and the nose/ear trimmer are definitely a welcome addition.

A mixed bag

As a razor, it does a great job. It shaves well and quite close and doesn't take a long time. I wish it had a pop up trimmer instead of having to frequently swap the head out. I'm limiting my use of the attachments for fear of wearing out the socket. The more major issue is that the prominent placement of the power switch along with the very light touch required to press it, means that I either have to hold the razor in an odd-to-me way or have to keep turning it back on.

I'm keeping this one i got on sale. It worked as good as more expensive models i've tried but still not as good as a blade. This after 30 days plus of using only the electric shaver. The nose hair attachment was not effective for me. The trimmer works ok on sideburns. When i finished shaving, my face felt like a close shave. When i applied aftershave, however, i could feel more stubble than when i used a blade. I do like the convenience of it and decided to keep it. A pretty good deal with the extra set of shaving heads.

Time will tell. I have no issues with the shaver itself (motor charger etc) I have been using Norelco razors for years. My issue is with the blades. They used to last at least a year. But I was disappointed with the last one that I bought. The blades didn’t hold up! I hope Norelco saw all the negative reviews and got a handle on the quality of their blades.

The Old Switcheroo Packaging Ordeal

THIS IS MY PERSONAL OPINION. THIS IS THE WAY I FELT WHEN I FINALLY HAD TO PRESUME THE RETURNS WEREN'T GOING TO PRODUCE THE DESIRED RESULT. This was a Christmas Gift FOR MYSELF and I am sorely disappointed in SAMS CLUB and Philips. Sams for letting Philips do it TO THEIR CUSTOMERS and Philips because they did it. What DID THEY DO you ask? The Shaver purchased at first was a 6500 Shaver in a 6500 Shaver Box. The first 6500 shaver had a defect and I asked for it to be replaced. (I returned the razor three times) because they kept giving me a 6500 Razor, supposedly, but inside the box each time was a 6000 Razor. The Difference you ask? #1 - A 6500 "TRUE" razor has a Two-button operation whereas the 6000 is a One-button operation. The Boxes were much different but not readily identifiable until you took everything out of the box. Again, the replacement 'outer carton' showed it was a 6500, however, when you opened the box, inside the outer box, holding the razor, inside the inner carton box was a 6000 and not the 6500. The Difference #2 -The head of a 6000 was one head, and the 6500 was a similar head, yet it operated entirely differently. The 6500 heads were more freely floating. The return of the Philips finally wore me down and I finally accepted it as a "bait and switch" type operation Philips was doing. JUST GUESSING based on my many returns, Perhaps an overrun on their 6000 shavers and so Philips needed to sell an overrun on their 6000 by putting them into an overrun on their 6500 boxes. Again, this is my personal opinion on how the shavers were presented and sold to me. Was it SAMS? WAS it Philips? I would have to say again, to Philips for the 'switcheroo packaging' and to Sams because they allowed Philips to do it to SAMS customers.

The new design is hard to hold in your hand.

The redesign of the hand hold area is a problem. It is hard to hold this re-designed shaver when you are using it. The old design was ergonomic. The new design easily slips out of your hand.
