Customer reviews for SAMSUNG 60" Class TU700D-Series Crystal Ultra HD 4K Smart TV with HDR - UN60TU700DFXZA forEasy set up
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This TV is used for OTA local broadcast viewing (with rooftop antenna) as well as WIFI streaming Prime, Netflix, Discovery +, etc. Very pleased with the ease to get set up and ready for entertainment viewing. Picture quality is pretty good and sound is better than I expected for an entry-level TV. We did eventually add a soundbar to enhance the audio. I made a mistake during initial set up when doing clock settings and mi-understood the daylight savings option. Now, since the time change, when I pull up the viewing guide, all the times are an hour off. For some reason, the settings menu option for time won't let me adjustments and so as far as I know I can't fix this outside of doing a complete reset and starting over. No thanks, I'll live with it. Another catch I encountered was when the TV somehow stopped reading the Firestick I have in one of the HDMI slots. I did eventually figure out how to get to it through the "home" menu so all is now good (even though you don't need the Firestick because Prime is an option right on the Samsung remote!). One last thing I noticed is that the display is VERY reflective, so we have to be careful not to have a table lamp or floor lamp that can be reflected in our viewing "angles." I don't know if other types of screens would be different. Overall, I am pleased with this TV and would recommend it without hesitation to anyone looking for a smart TV that won't break your bank.
This is my first smart tv, and I love it!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The tv was easy to set up with on screen and online help. I love the apps, and it is fairly easy to search for apps not already on the tv. I love the picture and the sound, navigating the apps is easy for me. The tv is light weight, and I can move it by myself if I need to, but you should get help as to not crack the screen. So far the only problem I have had with the tv is my cable provider! Their box keeps conflicting with the tv, and I have to reset the box often. Overall it is a great tv for a little money.
Like the samsung TV on. Its fast
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I play games on TV wirelessly projecting from PC, stream from apps like Amazon prime, YouTube, Netflix Disney+ etc Would like to stream from my samsung galaxy phone wirelessly without lagging as the content seems to lag when I use a smart view to share my phone screen
Great value, ez set up, weak ergo remote
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Small detail #1 I didn't know that not many (Smart )TVs still retain input selection once you shut off and put back on. Many default to their menu promoting some smart feature or service, where u always have to select a port (ie hdmi1, HDMI 2 etc) It doesn't sound like much but it gets annoying when you have to select (every time you turn it on) which port to display. Luckily this Samsung is the least offensive by remembering its last input. (Samsung tv and apps do momentarily fill bottom half). Small detail #2 big fan of the way it shuts down when u shut it off. The screen lights up and colapses to an equator like line then disappears in a surprisingly pleasant way as if bowing thank to you. Lol such a small yet very appreciated detail. Seriously. Try one. Set up not too difficult it did take a combination of downloading app and manual input. Adjustments are easy. Sound is good. Ive found only 2 issues... one is the remote. This model is a bit congested. I was told by the sales associate that the model above it had a better remote (as well as a higher price) And for me that would've put me in a different range that wasn't worth it. Second is that it mysteriously went completely black screen on me twice now. Like someone pulled the plug on it. But touching remote (like volume) brought picture right up. Hope this helps
Amazing Picture and Value
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been using Samsung products for about 15 years now, and have switched most of my A/V equipment over to the brand. This TV was very well priced for the picture quality and size. Despite having a mother board issue - which was fixed for free by Samsung qualified technicians in my home - this has been the best TV I've owned in the last 15 years. The on board apps make streaming a breeze - and I've never had lag, picture quality issues or otherwise. The on board speakers are a bit weak, but that's where the soundbar comes in the play. No other complaints. All around fantastic product!
Pretty great product for the price point
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a solid mid-range TV. I thought it'd be slow being android but it's pretty fast and has a much better UI than the legacy TVs. Picture quality is pretty sharp and even better when the content you play is in 4K.
Good price, great picture
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] this is the first Samsung television I have purchased and so far I am very please with the picture quality. Setup was pretty easy but you do have to let the TV update after you get it connected to WiFi and that takes a little while. The only thing I am not fond of so far is the remote, the buttons are so close together it is difficult to hit the correct button.
Great Tv, but has several issues
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The biggest issue I have with the TV is the occasional flickering, I usually just cycle through Game Mode to make it go away. I am using a HDMI 2.1 cable so that shouldn't be causing any issue.Other than that the Film Maker mode is a Godsend.
Not Like my old Samsung!
i purchased this model because of good experience with an older samsung tv. however, i am very disappointed with the poor picture quality on this new tv. the picture is way too bright and looks blurry all the time. i have spent hours trying all available picture quality settings and am still unhappy. i am using charter hd digital cable as an input (was great on my old tv) so i know i have a good quality input. i also had a lot of trouble getting the sound to sync correctly, it was like watching an old godzilla move! i would not recommend this tv for living room viewing, it would be ok for a large bar or restaurant.
RAH58: Thank you for purchasing the Samsung TU7000 4K Smart TV and for your review. I am sorry to hear that you are not completely happy with your TV’s picture, and you are having issues getting your sound to sync. There are several image settings you can adjust to your liking such as Picture Mode and Expert Settings. Choose a Picture Mode by going to Settings > Picture > Picture Mode and choose from Dynamic, Standard, Natural, Movie, or Filmmaker Mode. If your picture seems too bright, you may want to try the NATURAL picture mode which is designed to reduce eye strain for a comfortable viewing experience. You can further adjust your sharpness, brightness, contrast, color, tint, contrast, white balance, and more by going to Settings > Picture > Expert Settings For optimal motion image performance, you may want to adjust the picture clarity setting by going to: Settings > Picture > Expert Settings > Picture Clarity Settings If you are hearing an audio delay across all sources/channels and you have a Home Theatre System or other speakers connected to your TV, you can access the Audio Delay settings to increase the audio delay. Go to: Settings > Sound > Expert Settings > Digital Output Audio Delay Please know that our 2020 TVs do have an audio Pass-Through feature. This feature allows the audio signal to be sent out unprocessed to an external Soundbar or receiver connected to the TV. The external Soundbar or receiver then processes the audio, thereby eliminating the added step of processing by the TV, which adds delay. On your TV go to: Settings > Audio > Expert Settings > Digital Audio Output Format > Pass-Through I hope this helps. Exactly what I was looking for.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wanted a smaller TV for my home office. I used to support video conference call and watch movies. Picture quality is great. Sound is solid. The ability to add apps and control from my Google home app makes this a nice item.
