Customer reviews for SAMSUNG 60" Class TU700D-Series Crystal Ultra HD 4K Smart TV with HDR - UN60TU700DFXZA forDisappointed
I bought this TV this week. The picture was great for 2 days. Turned the TV on this morning and every channel has green imaging. It is only clear now when still pictures are on the screen . . . Will be in touch with the store where I purchased it as I have only had it a few days now.

Decent Screen, TERRIBLE PROCESSOR!!!
I have a larger Samsung TV and was very impressed by the robust performance of the native apps and apps that you can get from the App Store (although I'll caveat that by mentioning that I did have to return that TV to the store three times because of how slow the processes worked (laggy, would take a whole minute for any remote control command to work. This TV has a similar issue running applications such as Netflix, Hulu, Apple TV, and others. I bought this TV to serve primarily as my new home-office display ( and to watch TV from to kill the time in between tasks, if I'm being honest). The TV will work fine if you're hooking it to a laptop or desktop. If you're buying this TV to...well...watch TV and so you don't have to use an off the shelf box (like Roku, Apple TV set top, Chromecast, etc), then you'll be TERRIBLY DISAPPOINTED. You would think that if Samsung wants to market a TV as Smart, they would pay more attention to quality control and performance of their Smart Features. Everything running directly from the TV just disappoints. The user interface for every app is rendered in low resolution (yes, I checked my settings. I also compared the same apps on the same TV with third party app services). I can overlook that the app interfaces all run in low resolution, as long as the actual video is rendered in HD. What I can't overlook, is how laggy the TV gets when you run any app. This TV struggles to play video while handling simple functions such as..say.. changing the volume or a channel. So...here I am...using a “Smart TV” as simply a monitor.
The_One_True_Bob, Thank you for your purchase and review. The interface issue you are describing may be related to your network connection and quality. We suggest you try the following: 1. Use 5G WiFi if possible 2. Try wired LAN if available 3. Try repositioning the router so there are no obstacles between your TV and the router I hope this helps to solve your concerns. Died after 1 year (and 22 days)
Picture went extremely dim (not just dark -- unwatchable) all of a sudden. Unfortunately this happened 22 days after the meager 1 year warranty expired. So, I now have a useless, expensive piece of techno-trash that Samsung is unwilling to do anything about. To their credit, designing a tv that dies 22 days after the warranty ends is really a pretty impressive con. Save yourself the heartache, don't buy this piece of garbage. Or if you do, think about it more like an annual rental.
Hi there, I'm sorry to hear that your Samsung TU7000 TV display is having issues. We appreciate your patience; there are a few troubleshooting steps that I will put below in case you have not yet tried them. First, you can manually adjust the Brightness by pressing the HOME button on your remote, then navigating to Settings > Picture > Expert Settings. Next, let's make sure that your Energy Saving Mode is not causing this issue. Go to Settings > General > Eco Solution> Power Saving Mode> Disable. You can also run a Picture Test. Go to Settings > Support > Device Care > Self Diagnosis > Picture Test. You also may want to ensure that your Firmware is up to date. Go to Settings> Support> Software Update. If you continue to have a dim screen, then your TV will need service. If your TV is out of the 1-year Manufacturer's Warranty, you can locate a service center in your area on Samsung's website. Go to Support (upper right corner) and select Schedule a Service Appointment. This will allow you to find a location nearest you to help you with your repair. Poor performance. Would not recommend Samsung
I bought this tv less than 3 years ago and it already having issues powering on. Sometimes it takes 5-30 minutes to turn on. Once it is on it works fine, but very disappointed that this model isn't working properly. Contacted Samsung support via email with no response. Called the Samsung support # and the representative walked me through some troubleshooting, but couldn't fix the issue. Now I'm stuck with a 58” tv that won't turn on when I want it to. They suggested I call for repair service, which would cost as much as I paid for the tv.
I thought it was going to be great...
i wanted a smart tv that no longer needed a 3rd party device to watch youtube and such. boy were we disappointed. the tizen user interface is as slow as aol dialup internet. just try to do anything in the menus and it takes 10-30 seconds for the tv to respond to your remote input. the only positive is the picture quality is amazing! however the hdmi to soundbar control is buggy and doesn't always work right, when using the optical cable the volume control randomly stops working and randomly starts working again. i can't wait to get a different brand tv
Great picture
picture is awesome. took some getting use to be ause it is so clear. only reason i gave it a 4 star is because of the remote. for some odd reason they did not have it light up. i keep having to turn on the light to use the remote. doesn't that seem odd. even the cheapest of the tv's come with remotes that light up. oh well, the tv was a gift so i can't complain too much lol.
Affordable 4K sweetness
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This 4k tv is an entry model that punches above is weight. I have it mounted in my bedroom and it's slim bezels and ample brightness is more than enough for me. With HDR support, streaming movies and shows is truly enjoyable. With the truly tested samsung remote and the tizen os, navigating around the menu is a breeze. If you're looking for a store bright screen and extremely low refresh rates, you might need to look for something higher priced or specd. Blacks are super black and 4K content is as rich as can be. With ample hdmi and other inputs, connecting your speaker system is as easy as ever. Surely looking forward to getting one for the kids room for those cocomelon & peppa pig nights .
Good screen, really bad interface
Just bought this TV yesterday and while the screen is fine, the smart TV UI is terrible. No way to remove apps that I don't use and it won't even let me remove them from the home screen. I don't like the Samsung TV plus, but there's no way to avoid it. Also, WAY too many ads. Additionally, the remote lags really bad, then jumps around as if I held down the button. Overall, not a good experience with the UI.
StanOS: Thank you for purchasing the Samsung TU7000 TV and for your review. We appreciate you sharing your experience with the interface. Your feedback is important to us and will be shared with our teams. To address your lag issue, you may want to run the self-diagnosis tool. Go to Settings > Support> Device Care > Start Device Care This service checks memory and frees up unused cached memory and closes background apps. I hope this helps to solve your concerns.
