Great product with an unfortunate setback

the tv itself is wonderful regarding picture quality and resolution. however, i cant really enjoy this wonderful tv when the screen freezes at times with the remote control malfuntioning once every few times. my main issue us the remote control. theres a serious lag between when a button is pressed on trh remote to when i see a change on the screen. sometimes its more than 10 seconds. sometimes the screen just freezes which is where i hit the home button to reset or worse case, power off the tv and restart.

You can check this by going to Settings > Support > Software Update. Flaky Performance LL

Just received a response to my first review. Turn off AnyNet+. Really? Well, if I turn off AnyNet+ then my SONOS Beam soundbar does not work. I have a SONOS Arc on a new LG tv. It works flawlessly. Samsung - how can disabling AnyNet be a reasonable solution when I need it to use the equipment???? Wish I had bought an LG instead of the Samsung.

Hi MDMulle, I understand your frustration, and I’m sorry you’re experiencing trouble connecting your AU8000 TV to your Sonos soundbar. Please be sure you are using a high-speed HDMI cable with Ethernet Channel (sometimes called HDMI HEC cable). Also, be sure to enable HDMI-eARC in the Expert Settings menu. Lastly, please also verify that you are running the latest firmware. You can check to see what software version your TV is using and if there is an available update through the settings on your TV. Died after 4 years!!!

This Tv died after 4 years. This is the first time in my entire life I have had a TV do that. There was no user damage at all, just one day stopped working. I am extremely upset and probably would not be buying another Samsung product if this is the quality I can expect.
