We bought our Smart TV several months ago and are very happy indeed with the quality of the picture. So three dimensional, it feels like you are actually in the room. The sound quality was not good enough so I sprung for a Samsung sound bar and now the whole deal is quite wonderful.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We use the TV for viewing and streaming. The picture is great but the sound is lousy. We do not have a sound bar and the sound from the TV speakers is hollow with no depth and is very low. I have it up to 30 just to be able to hear it under normal circumstances. Its connected to a cable box with an HDMI cable and hardwired to the internet and the sound setting is standard. Any background music or sound effects sound like you are listening through a pair of cheap speakers. I tried tweaking it with the EQ settings but it did not help. I guess they want to sell sound bars so they put cheap speakers in the TV. I would not buy again and I am disappointed in Samsung.

Keep a remote handy for the volume as each channel can vary quite a bit. I thought the picture would be deeper in aspect but it still satisfies. We're still learning some features, so have a glass of wine and relax.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall the TV is great. Remote is small, slick and easy to use. Color resolution is fantastic. Definitely would purchase another Samsung TV. If Samsung would make the following improvements that would be even better. Suggestions: TV stand should be 2" higher to accommodate sound bar (see attached). Remote sensor should be on the right or left side of the TV sensor to accommodate home entertainment system. Add 2 more HDMI

the picture quality is poor. i tried many combinations of the different settings. even at its best, the lighting is off. from straight on, it's not too bad, but if i am watching from off to the side, the whites are very washed out. i am using amazon firestick with amazon firetv recast to watch with over the air signal. this all worked much better with my prior samsung tv. same white-washing when i tune to the samsung tv channels. i have the 50" model.

It has a VA-type panel with high native contrast and excellent black uniformity, but it lacks any local dimming feature to improve the black levels. Luckily, it doesn't have any trouble upscaling lower-resolution content, and it removes judder from 24p sources.The Samsung AU8000 is unremarkable for watching HDR content. It has a high native contrast ratio that makes blacks look black,The Samsung AU8000 is decent for HDR gaming. It has low input lag for gaming, but it has a slow response time and no VRR support. Sadly, HDR content doesn't look very good because it can't display a wide color gamut and has low peak brightness, so highlights don't stand out how they should. It has high native contrast, but there's no local dimming feature to improve it.

I upgraded to this TV and it's pretty good. I love to picture quality and sound. The few features that I comes with are great but was disappointed at the fact that it lacked features I was expecting. However, I'm happy with my purchase and would recommend this TV to anyone.

The features that the home dashboard offers is incredible. The setup and installation of personalized services is designed for simplicity and at record time. I had the pleasure of having it up and running faster then it took my microwave to heat my dinner! I am a Samsung fan for life!
