I bought this a year ago. Lately, it’s started to freeze and restart Roku on my tv. There is no red light on the streaming player. The wi-fi receiver is not located near exposed input ports or resting on other electronic devices. Also, my wi-fi signal is strong—the tv is only a few feet from my router. Roku has no tech support phone, and the instructions that come with the Stick have no troubleshooting information. I wasted my money. I do not recommend this product.

I have Roku devices on 4 of my televisions. This replaced a failed 4K stick due to a software update. In fact, I had to reinstall all my Roku sticks but one continued to fail so this is the replacement. Also, would like to see this product become more intuitive while streaming my cable provider.

Our smart tv was starting to have problems connecting to the internet so instead of buying a new smart TV we purchased a Roku Streaming Stick 4K after receiving a coupon deal in our email. It works great and we have access to all our favorite apps in one place. The signal it gets is wonderful and the picture is very clear.

For the most part, I'm happy with the purchase and it works well. It does seem to have trouble with YouTube from time to time (while all other devices run it fine) and the connection isn't as solid as these other devices. There's some QoL stuff I'd like options for, but it is just the stick so I can't expect too much. I'm half in love with the power feature, because I can run some music or other sleep aids, and it'll power down much faster than some other things, but I constantly turn the feature on and off because twenty minutes is just too short a time and it forgets what I was doing when it shuts down this way. I use subtitles for everything and I'm not a fan of them on the Roku. Could use more options, like sizing, and sometimes they seem to go out of sync more often than I am used to. This was meant to be a replacement for other devices, but I've still had to go back to other devices a couple times when the stick was acting up. When it works, it works great, there's just some issues that keep me from raving about it. As far as recommending to a friend, it entirely depends upon their needs and situation.

I had a box from a competitor and it worked pretty good. Changed my internet to fiberoptic and had to turn in the box. I was recommended by 3 or 4 friends to get the Rocu . It is so much better there is no comparison to anything on the market. It has acted strange a couple of times play for a few minutes then turn black a few seconds but a quick reset and it works great again

When my remote control was acting up on my new roku. I'm my old roku. I call customer service and I got ahold of the tech that was so nice and so grateful that he sent me a roku box for free and I've been with roku all the time, I won't go back to no Comcast or cable. I love roku. I just pay for internet. And I got all my little channels. And roko is adding new channels every day and I'm just enjoying my roku. The technician told me for being a good customer for roku.I said I don't want to go nowhere else.I'm gonna even buy me another roku TV.I love roku.Thanks a lot you made my day

I've been using this for about two months and had no real major issues except for a couple of freeze ups. I am plugged in directly so that's not the problem. However now a new problem has occurred, I am getting kicked out of my Peacock App and getting sent back to the home screen when I pause a movie. This problem is intermittent but it is very frustrating, I have tried clearing the cache by resetting my Internet connection but it still happens intermittently. Other than that it's pretty good.

I love Roku and have had an account for several years, including a Roku TV and a Roku streaming box. I just bought this Streaming Stick 4K to use with an older TV, and it works well, EXCEPT that this TV is an older TV where I use the Tablo 4th Generation Over-The-Air (OTA) DVR so that I can watch live TV from both Chicago and Milwaukee. The problem happens when I go to my Roku app, select the Tablo app within Roku, and try to watch certain channels. All I get is a blank screen. The Tablo website reports a known bug with the Roku streaming stick (the latest model shipped to me, 3820R) where there is an incompatibility with Tablo. This problem with the Streaming Stick 4K has apparently not yet been fixed by Roku, so I gave it a 1 star. When this problem goes away, it would deserve 5 stars, since otherwise it works well and gives great picture quality, as well as access to all the usual movie and TV streaming apps.

I bought this Roku to install on another TV as I am getting ready to dump cable and just use streaming. I have a couple already for guest bedrooms , but are older versions. I like that I can control the TV and have found it easier to add channels than my previous models. I have ordered additional Roku 4k Sticks to replace my other ones.

When it works, it’s great, but every time I want to use it, it doesn’t turn on. I will use the remote to turn my TV on but the actually streaming stick won’t turn on. It will only turn on after I unplug and replug it’s power which is obviously inconvenient and not ideal
