We lost our cable provider and were forced into buying something to let us stream programming. Purchased Roku on whim and didn’t really know what it was. I was surprised at the variety of free programming. We don’t miss our old cable provider or their bills.

I am well pleased with the Roku stream stick 4K (HD-4K-HDR). I do not have a 4K tv but it works fine with my Samsung smart HD T and also bought another one for my tv in other room that is not a smart tv, and it works good with it also. At this time, I am well pleased with Roku tv. I like not having to pay for a TV program provider while only paying for internet services. For my use I would not want anything else for the price.

I have now purchased 3 of the 4K streaming sticks because they are easy to use, they don’t lose internet connection like the basic model. Once I registered the first one, when I went to set up tv #2 it transferred all of my channel choices and passwords so that I didn’t have to go through that again. It was so convenient.

Got the Roku to use the Tablo OTA device/DVR. Setup was easy and quick. I originally used the Firestick, but the Tablo app seems to like Roku better. Plus I find the Roku interface more intuitive than Firestick. I also love that the remote automatically sets up to control TV power and volume.

I am very happy that we chose to go with the ROKU. I am probably the least savvy when it comes to all the new technology, but I was able to set this up and get it going in minutes once I created a ROKU account, which was quick and easy to do also. I have been wanting to dump my cable service for quit some time which is full of useless garbage channels that no one watches but, you pay a mint for!! So glad we've chosen to go a different direction.

I have used Roku in the past. This one it is so hard to turn it on. It must take 20 or 30 times to get it to work. I have two Roku TVs that are great but I need one for a non Roku TV. The next one I would get, will be the extended box instead of the stick.

We were told we needed to upgrade our old Roku, which worked fine, so got this one 9 months ago. From the beginning we had constant problems where our regular cable input would jump over to the Roku when we weren't watching it and we would have to unplug i. Or it would freeze and we'd have to unplug and replug it. Now the cursor jumps around so it's completely unusable. Don't know what to do now, as we need a Roku with our older TVs but after only 9 months I'm hesitant to buy another one.

This is my second Roku 4K streaming stick that I have purchased. The previous one lasted me 5 years without any issues. However, about 3 months ago, it stopped working due most likely to a blackout in are neighborhood. When I went on to turn on the Roku it didn't respond. I think the new 4K stick video wise looks even better than the old one it replaced, brighter picture, but can't verify for sure without an A/B comparison. All the features I love on a Roku are there easy to navigate interface , voice recognition, very snappy and quick switching from different channels, and programs with little to no lag. The user experience for me is much better than the Amazon fire stick I used previously. The only real criticism for me is the remote did not include a backlight feature. However, that was solved by buying extra on their site, the Roku backlit remote.

I have a vacation home that made it not worth having cable. I have been just using prime for years. A friend came to visit and recommend Roku. Went and bought so she could help me set it up. Wow! I have all the channels I watch at home now. Wish I had done this sooner!

I used to have AMazon stick. I thought it was great. After purchasing Roku Stick, it changed my perspective. I think Roku is the best streaming device in the market. It's simplicity and features (volume control, voice command) surpasses any competition, which includes Amazon stick, Apple device and others.
