After purchasing the newer version of the Roku Streaming Stick 4K, I had hoped that it would run better than my previous one, that stopped working. The remote kept freezing up, but would work again if I replaced the batteries. I finally had the remote replaced via warranty. Roku finally sent a new remote, after calling them. This one does not freeze up, but it is also not moving around as smoothly as the previous version. So I think it may be something with this new version. Other than that, it works pretty well.

The product is similar in design and features to other remotes I have used and thus, very easy to use. The only issue I experience with it is that the volume controls are located on the right hand side of the device, with the Off switch located below and very close to the up and down volume buttons. As a result, I often turn the volume off completely when attempting to just adjust it.

This device does most of what I want it to do. It appears flawlessly and loads up quickly on my Vizio TV. My only issue is I thought the model I bought had a jack for headphones. I watch events that begin late at night sometimes and, I don't want to bother my neighbors with the volume of the broadcast. Yes, I can download the remote control app and plug in to listen that way.

I bought 2 Roku's a couple months ago to add streaming services to an older Sony Bravia and a Visio. I was able to set up all my services and add Direct TV too. Works great, easy to set up (if you have all your passwords), and even recognized the brand of the TV's.

I purchased this product on sale and have been using it with our Samsung 55” curved UHD Smart TV paired with an LG 3.1 soundbar with subwoofer using the HDMI/ ARC connection. Picture and sound quality are quite good. The voice remote works well. The only issue I’ve noticed is the volume cannot be adjusted using the voice remote. A screen message appears indicating the volume is being increased or decreased; however, there is no actual change in volume. Volume can be adjusted using the manual controls. I'm thinking that perhaps there may be an incompatibility between the 4K stick and tv/soundbar combo.

I ordered 2 Roku Sticks and although the WiFi is great on one of my TV’s my HDMI slot is on the side of my TV therefore it doesn’t give my TV that sleek appearance. One stick and remote worked perfectly! But the other one, it’s remote battery cover doesn’t fit properly. It’s like the remote itself is to large (long) for the battery cover. Other than that I have no other complaints.

I am disappointed in these three Roku devices. Yes, they can shut off my several Element televisions, but they do not control the sound volume. And, I did try the alternate CES option. To make matters worse, on a previously purchased Roku device, I suddenly just found I needed to register and again set up the unit. After completing the process, I found it no longer controlled the sound volume too. It would appear Roku is taking steps backwards instead of improving their product. I will hesitate to buy more Roku devices as they do not live up to their advertising.

I have been using a competitor's streaming stick for years. My two biggest frustrations were that I couldn't control my tv with the other remote and I hated the homepage of the other service. It was way too busy and prioritized their shows over just showing me my apps. I switched to Roku specifically to be able to watch Weird, the Weird Al movie, and didn't expect to be so happy with the Roku. The remote is easier to use, the homepage is much simpler and I just like everything about it better than the other stick.

This is my third 4K stick and 4th Roku device. I had begun having network connection and remote-control issues with my previous stick model 3810 and decided a newer model might fix the problem. It didn't, frequently I have to go to connection settings to start the connection to the Wi-Fi router. Nothing has changed in regards to my Wi-Fi router or TV in the past 4 years and previous devices worked fine. Then I dived into Roku support first with chat which was a disaster and then via phone with mixed results and still no solution. First line chat support clearly doesn't know what they are talking about and phone support is only moderately better. The last suggested solution is they are sending out a HDMI extension cable claiming it should help improve reception. This, despite the fact that according to the data from the device it has an excellent signal from the router which is 10' or less away from the Roku device. Since I can't get over the air TV or cable leaves me with only a few choices and according to reviews Roku is the best option.

I have had two Amazon fire sticks in the past three years! I’ve noticed that Roku is user-friendly, faster on my TV for some reason, and well laid it out on the screen. With Amazon fire stick, it would constantly freeze, become extremely, and always adds to buy something. I’m happy with Roku!
