Even if you don't hook this baby up to a 4K TV, you still get higher processing power than the LE family. You get the usual option to power it up by the TV itself via USB or run it down the traditional wall plug. It boots up pretty fast so using the TV as the power source is not as cumbersome as it used to be. Definitely a worthy purchase if you are looking for less wires but still decent processing.

I bought this Roku as a replacement for a much older streaming stick to work with my newer 4K TV. I continue to enjoy the interface and its ability to support the apps I use. The simple transfer from one device to the next, and the ability to keep the Roku out of the way makes it an easy experience.

All three of my TV’s are 2010-2016 Samsung models with the early app’s that they stopped updating. I got a Roku a Chromecast and a Firestick so I could honestly compare. I’m not a fan of brand bashing I will just say I have three Roku units now and they are awesome! I was concerned that the streaming stick would t do as well as the models with the set top receiver, you can not tell a difference. Great product without the disconnects or refresh wheel!

Just getting started and so much more exploring to do but several reasons why we are so happy! First of all , Roku was our partner in cutting the cable and saving $$$$, then there is incredible value with a galaxy of streaming, and we can still watch our local channels. We already bought a second one. Roku Rocks!

I preordered this and it’s been great. Surviving off the TV possibility instead of a hanging cord makes my wife happy with the visual appeal of the device. The remote feels better in are hands than a game controller or clunky tv remote. And the ability to stream 4K on my 4K TV was important.

Love Roku and all it's features! This is my third purchase and I would have given 5 stars but I find on this particular stick, the volume up & down button is very sloppy. It is not firm in weather you hit up or down. Button even pushes in between the up & down.

I love the ease and convenience of the streaming stick. Unlike the original box you don’t have to point the remote directly to connect with the TV.. The remote replaces your television remote with the power and volume buttons.. I will definitely buy more streaming sticks for my other TVs.

Bought these for a couple of non smart tvs. Installed one right away and very pleased with performance. Noticed it performed better than our smart tv so installed it on that set. Noticed an improved performance right away. The only real problem is I now have a tv without a streaming devise so I’ll have to buy another Roku.

Of the three Roku devices I have, the only one I have problems with is the Streaming Stick 4K. It usually won't power up when I turn it on and yes, I'm using the power cord instead of the USB power. Also it seems very loose in the HDMI port. Only one choice of where to plug it in because it is too long to fit in the other two ports. It is very frustrating to have to turn it on and off and unplug and reinsert it mutliple times before it decides to work.

Like many on here, same issue with HDCP error. Roku has offered no actual solution. They keep saying to change the HDMI cable but obviously you cannot do that because the HDMI connection is built into the steaming stick, this just highlights the intelligence of the so called 'technicians' you deal with. I have done all the display modifications as well. No resolve. You basically need to unplug the TV and the streaming unit and it works again. It just is a royal pain when you have a mounted flat screen with hidden outlets. Roku will not admit it but it is a software issue on their end and they pretend they have never heard of this issue when I know it affects at least 1 in 4 people who have a Roku streaming based platform. I mean my sample size is small, just personal relationships, but my numbers came back 1 in 4 making it and issue for 25% of the people who use Roku. Most people just accept the issue and never leave a review but if everyone left a review on here for the same issue, the product would be probably a 2 star. You would think they would actually resolve this issue by now instead of ignoring the problem like it will magically go away.
