Worst purchase ever!

I saw this and the price was great. This lawn mower is supposed to be self- propelled, it barely works. I'm 62 and it takes all my strength to push this mower. I have had other self-propelled, this one is horrible! If I could take it back, I would. I was hoping maybe after some use it might get better-NOT! DO NOT BUY!

Fell apart in less than 1 year

Nice mower, worked great until it slowly started shedding parts while mowing. It's now well built and won't last unfortunately. My previous mower was aToro and lasted me more than 7 years mowing the same yard. Would not recommend even at the discounted 299 price

Best Mower ever for money!

Has a Briggs & Stratton engine that starts very easy. After two years, I change the oil and filter once a year. Sharpen the blade 2 or 3 times a year. My grass grows year around here. I did apply an extra coat of spray paint on deck, because all my other mowers would start rusting after a year or two. It runs and mows and looks like new.

I bought 2 weeks ago not thrilled with the rear wheel drive self propelled mower . This is a mower for a young in shape person . When buying a self propelled mower front wheel drive is much better unless you like popping wheelies .I am too old and too fat for being drug all over my yard . Not to mention as you are popping wheelies you aren't mowing anything .It does start every time .

I used this mower 4 times and it already won’t start. Sam’s club won’t take it back and yard force won’t replace it unless you send it to them for an “evaluation” even with warranty. They also do t pay the shipping costs for sending it them. Total waste of money.

DO NOT BUY. CANNOT GET REPLACEMENT BLADES.

Bought two of these mowers. One is still in the box. Gave the other to in-law. After mowing one season she wanted to get a new blade. Absolutely cannot find a compatible blade to fit this mower. Have called YardForce tech support twice and emailed once with no solution. Mowers are now 1 to 1-1/2 years old and I am going to attempt to return. Hopefully Sams will honor the return of a useless product. DO NOT BUY THIS MOWER!

I can't recommend purchasing this mower

I purchased this one year ago to cut a 1/4 acre flat lot in Florida. It's replacing a 10 year old mower which still worked but was beginning to show its age. I've used the rear bagger on this Yard Force since new, it's easier on the mower than mulching. One month ago the self propelled started acting up and now is not working. I checked the cable for adjustment and it has plenty of tension, moving the lever on the gearbox properly and the belt was good. I checked and it's the transmission turns but does not move the mower. I used it the last 30 days as a push mower and today heard a large bang from the mower and immediately shut it off. I disconnected the plug, tipped it back, as suggested and the metal shroud under the deck came loose. Keep in mind I live in Florida so no rocks, flat land and maybe an 1/8 acre of actual grass, this mower sees little use. After inspection I determined the shroud came loose since on one side it only had a tiny area welded. On the other side its a much longer weld. It has a 2 year warranty so the transmission should be covered but I'm not sure about the defective deck. Unless they repair this mower I cant suggest it's purchase. I've owned a lot of power equipment over the years and maintain it well so I have very realistic expectations.

Engine is junk

Bought this mower and was great for the 1st 3 mowings of the season then started to sputter at EVERY use with increasing frequency and, by the end of summer, simply wouldn't start. Since it was beyond the 90 day warranty for outdoor power equipment, it was no longer covered by Sam's. I was directed to Briggs and Stratton who FULL on refused to honor the warranty (NO KIDDING!) They accused me of using bad gas. I offered to bring the mower in for service and even pay for it if the fix was something not covered. They refused to even look at it!! With Briggs' refusal to look at it, I can only assume they were afraid that there would be a warranty issue. By their refusal, The bottom line is THE ENGINE ON THIS MOWER DOES NOT HAVE A 2 YEAR WARRANTY. I ended up junking the mower. On the upside, my local recycler gave me $3 taking away some of the sting.

This item broke

...........Dont buy this item........... Repeat.. dont buy... Exactly 1 year later from buying.. this item broke and the service to replace it keeps sending me the wrong part which BTW is part of the metal frame. Something that shouldnt have broke so easy.

Didn’t work

Price was great but right out of the box the self-propelled feature didn’t work properly. It kept starting then stopping, forcing you to push the mower. We’ve had several self propelled mowers over the years but we’ve never seen something like this happen. We returned it.
