easy for us to assemble, some help from the wife and kids, I had my 8 and 5 yr old looking for the next pieces and spouse looking for the hardware. next time we do this we would unpacked all the boxes in order 1,2,3,4 and tape the packing sheet in front of each row so you can look at the packing slip to see if the part was on that list in that box. we figured this out toward the end and it sped up the searching for parts 100%. took us about 15 hours max to assemble. better planning I know my family working together from beginning to end we could do it in about 7 hours. yes its tough for a novice mechanical aptitude/lack of prints and drawing experience. Kids LOVE it, they are on it all the time. it does hold up to the abuse, may seem cheap at first but once put together the structural integrity is strong enough for kids.

I am a contractor and put this together in 24 hours by myself and my wife finding pieces for me on a part time bassis. It would be a big job for the do-it-yourselfer, you might want to hire it done, for the stores $400 offer. This comes in 4 large crate type boxes. One of the boxes is extremely heavy and take two good size men to move it. You will want the boxes close to the assembly point, as you will make a million trips to them. Finding the pieces is a challenge in itself. Numbers are faint and similar to each other, ie N8, M8, HK4, KH4, ect. You may need 6 - B8, there may be 2 in one boxe 2 in another box, 1 in each one of the other boxes. There is a packing list in each box, but you spent a lot of time trying to find the pieces. 20 plus bags of screws, bolts nuts, washers, with similair sizes, 14x1-1/8, 14x1-1/2, 18x1-1/4, 18x1-5/8, plus multiple size washers, bolts & screws. Plus there is only one extra of each. Except screws, which I was short 50 14x1-1/8 and 2" bolts I was short 10. The instruction are all just black & white copy drawings and very little actual instruction. Hard to make out placement of boards. Plus they kept showing the project from different sides, with no indication which side you are looking at. Many boards have to be put on in a certain rotation and that is not spelled out. You find out in a later step that your holes do not line up. Then you have to remove the board and reattachit, or if you have too many things already attached, you may have to drill new bolt holes, then you loose your predrilled screw hole indentions. This is the main area that could be improved. All for all it seems to be a nice play set and alot of thought has gone into it. The main fort is over 6' tall on the inside and at 250# supported me well, even the crows nest look out platform. The value is good for what you are getting. But the aggravation of looking for poorly marked parts and the vagness of the instructions, can make you hot under the collars. I am glad it is done.

We are actually in the process still of putting this set together, but i wanted to come on here and write a review as soon as possible to hopefully save someone else the horror of a set. it was a bday gift for our 3 year old and her father has been working 2 days now trying to get it together, on his third day I get a photo of one of the main beams completely slit at a notch, without him even drilling into it. Several other pieces would split as soon as hardware was put into it. the hardware is nice and tough but the wood cant hold up to it. I am almost scared to let my daughter play on it when it is finished. This is 100% not worth the money we paid.

What a great swing set. We decided to redo out backyard by extending it so we bought this for my daughter whose 1 1/2 and she loves it. It did take about 34 hrs to build but well worth it. The wood isnt as think as the ones that sell for $3K + but my husband and I are able to stand in the little house together with no concern. We were missing some pieces but had them to the house within 4 days of calling. We made a few changes to how they wanted thing set up. We moved the stairs to the front, the rockwall to the back and the window to the front so it looks like the picture. We absolutly love our backyard now. I have to say for the price you cant find anythign better.

Sky Fort II is a great play set. It looks good, is sturdy, and your kids/grandkids will love it. It is not hard to assemble, but takes preserverance. We used four fairly competent people to assemble it (all 4 adults have masters' degees and more) and the total number of person-hours was 60. Although technically there really aren't 1 million parts, you will think there are. The instruction manual is good, but at times confusing in just where and how you should complete a step. There are multiple bolt/nut/washer/screw sizes and you really need to make sure you use the right ones as per the directions. Recommend you gather all parts from each step together and figure out which bold goes with which bolt barrel before hooking them together. Bolts and nuts strip very easily so you don't want to minimize number of times you tighten/untighten them. Spray a lubricant into the bolt barrels to make it easier. Lots of holes to line up and we had to drill some to get them to do so. We also had to shave some of the boards to get them to fit together. If you have young kids, ship them to a foreign country during the project as they will want to help but will be a hindrance. Finally, if any of your workers are married to another worker, consult divorce attorney prior to starting this project. Bottom line, YOU CAN DO IT YOURSELF, but at times you will be frustrated.

This playground was a gift from grandma and grandpa to our 2 year-old little girl. Although she is small, we wanted her to grow into this playground, so she would really use it over the years. The lumber is great and sturdy, as is the structure once completely built. We are very tall, 200+ pound people, and we climbed inside to build the crows nest without any wobbling or creaking. Some recommendations: My husband and I built this over a period of 4 days in bits, the first day being the day of delivery - it arrived at 1:00 p.m. and we began inventory at that time and finished in a couple of hours. Organization is a MUST. Inventory all the hardware into labeled plastic cups and/or plastic containers (Ziplock or Glad disposable containers are the best!). Next, inventory all the wood BEFORE YOU BEGIN. We were missing a pack of screws and a floor board, and we had 2 completely cracked pieces of lumber. It is imperative that you inventory the lumber and hardware first, so that you can order anything that is missing ASAP. We are in Miami, FL and it took the replacement parts 7 days to arrive. It must be said that their customer support is EXCELLENT. They are ready, willing and able to ship out everything and anything you may need. We began the project even with the missing pieces, sine they were not necessary until the end, or could be installed later in the building process. Be sure to have your drill bits, as well as a hex bit. This will get everything done much faster. I basically would prepare all screw with their washers, etc. and grab the necessary boards to complete each step, while my husband installed them. I was also in charge of relaying the instructions from the manual. This swing set is SO EASY to build. you need not have a great deal of experience to complete it. Our knowledge of "building" doesn't extend beyond home repairs and building other small pieces of furniture in the house when purchased, and we found it to be a breeze to build. Again...organization is of the greatest importance. We found the picnic table to be a bit tricky. It seems if it had been built first and then attached, it would have been easier. The only issue I had was with the spacing of boards. It doesn't always say in the instructions whether the boards should be slightly spaced or touching, and when installing the wall boards, we had them touching just like the floor, only to find that they should have been spaced ever so slightly, NOT like the floor boards - we ended up with a 1 inch gap at one end that looked awful. We then had to remove all the boards and reinstall them, which wastes quite a bit of time. Finally, beware that the safety handles for the rock climbing wall are pictures here, but there are no installation instructions, so we improvised. There are also a few instances where the instructions call for a screw that is too short, or makes no sense. We also swapped the monkey bars and slide due to space/safety issues in our yard specifically, so the pictures may look odd :) don't waste your hard-earned money on smaller versions for the same money. If you're going to dish out 1,300, but THIS ONE. IT ROCKS!

I bought this in April 2022. The assembly instructions were excellent, but had I any issues with assembly, there's an app with more detailed assembly instructions. Assembly went smoothly with just me and my son. The grandkids LOVE it! When hurricane Ian hit, the eye was 10 miles south of us. We were hit with 150+ mph winds. As I watched, I thought, without a shadow of doubt, that this Skyfort II swing set was going to end up in my neighbor's yard. I honestly believed it would be destroyed. To my surprise, it survived INTACT. The only damage - minor - was a result of fallen trees. There's still a palm tree resting on the swing support beam. I wholeheartedly recommend buying this set.

The Skyfort is the best playground hands down. The quality and price put it up there with more expensive playgrounds. My wife and I assembled one other smaller version of the Skyfort. I purchased the playground on sale, and was able to purchase-load-and go in about 30 minutes. Once home and unloaded, my awesome wife grouped all the pieces and marked the one's not clearly marked properly. Without her help I never would have gotten done in the short amount of time it took. We were short a couple of pieces, and the directions are not very clear; we were not new to this. Calling the 800 number put the pieces on our doorstep in about 2 days. It took about 30 hours to assemble and we added another slide for our son. These playgrounds are fun to put together and the quality of the materials is great. Have a plan before starting, plenty of tools and a weekend you can do it in. The kids love it. The Skyfort is holding its own; even against the BLIZZARD OF 2010!!!

A Reviewer stated "so easy a caveman can do it" and it really is, just helps if you have the proper tools and know how about some carpentry aspects and knowledge of hardware. These direction were 97% clear as to what to d0! I'm a Handy man and enjoy doing projects, as long as I get a new tool for it. For this project I bought a Makita LCT203W which included an impact drill and a normal drill in small form (perfect weight for a project like this and I highly recommend it) It was nice to have three drills so I didn't have switch bit heads and drill bits. I took the advice and inventoried everything (except hardware bolts and such) and nothing was missing. as I checked pieces I used the top of the boxes as extra space to sort the pieces, thus I have 8 boxes with all the pieces in them with labels facing up. This helped alot and if I sorted the pieces by page it would have been better but that only works if your putting it all together in a few days! (due to 90 heat wave I had to wait till it cooled down. A MUST do: another reviewer mentioned placing bolts and nuts and such in plastic bins and labeling them. I went to the dollar store and bought about 20 plastic Tupperware bins and it was THE BEST thing I did and made it easier. there are tons of screwing bolts and screws with this and having easy access to them and nicely sorted made it easy going! GET THEM!. I too put the window in the front, like the picture. directions had a flat front and peak window in the back, so I switched them. All in all, it took me 3 days to put it together and had my lil' ones help out and cheer me on. It's just what I wanted and looks beautiful in the yard. I was amazed at how quick it comes together after the the frame goes up. be aware, that perch...took me 3 hours building that little thing! Your can't go wrong with the price and was delivered in 8 days from the day I ordered. boxes weighed about 200 lbs each. Good luck everyone and enjoy it. Just remember, have 3 drills ( a small impact really helps) & enough batteries & bins for the hardware, and ladders. I built it pretty much on my own! now onto the next project! :o)

My wife and I have been looking to get a new playset for our 4 kids the last 3 years and the Skyfort II was the ultimate choice we wanted that fit within our budget. It finally aligned up with tax return this year so we bought it. Shipping is free which is awesome since I don’t have the means to pick up at a Sam’s directly. Comes in four boxes, probably 100-200lbs. each. The delivery driver had a 2-wheel dolly so I was able to bring the boxes to my back yard with a little “umph” work. I’ve done many do-it-yourself projects, but probably not one from a box this large. I was very impressed with how everything is packaged and labeled. I had no missing hardware (some extras actually), all wood pieces were there and marked legibly enough to recognize the part #. I was able to do this by myself in about 28 hrs. over several days as I had time available. It probably would have taken a little less time if I had more full days to work on this vs. broken up. My suggestion/recommendations is to take time to lay out all the wood pieces by letter, definitely helps to find pieces during the process. I had an 18-volt cordless drill with two batteries, which I would also recommend if you have access to one; a handtool is provided, but a drill of some sort is needed regardless since some minor drilling is required and also helps to complete in a timely manner (star drill bits are included with the hardware as well). The instructions are very well marked and great to note which way pilot holes need to face when putting pieces together; I got ahead of myself a couple of times and overlooked these details, so just make sure you pay attention to the instructions about which way pieces need to face when assembling. Doing so will make sure each following step goes smoothly with you having all the holes in the right place. For the whole project, only one piece had the pilot holes in the wrong place (one of the main floor sections), but that was no issue at all. I was careful when working on the upper playset areas, but I’m 195lbs, and the 2nd level of the playhouse as well as the crow’s nest was able to handle my weight with no issues. While the playset is still new for us and don’t know about wear and tear, I’m very impressed with the quality of the wood and hardware. I’m also impressed with the instructions; it’s about 65 pages/steps in all, but very well laid out and was easy for me to follow. It all seems very sturdy and looks great in our yard and kids are having a blast. Our youngest is 1, so we expect to have this over 10yrs. and will maintain it with wood treatments as recommended to upkeep. Very happy with this purchase.
