This is a really nice build. It does take some time and can be done by one person. So far I have spent about 8 hours on it, and I'm towards the end. I am thinking about adding a mini pergola to the top of the crows nest. The attached photo is showing it almost completed! There is a light at the end of the tunnel. I do have a few tips: 1 - Read the instructions! 2 - As you pull everything out, organize by letter, and then use those letters to organize each by number. Trust me, you'll thank me for all that OCD work. 3 - Take all hardware and lay it out separately on a large table. This will save TONS of time on your end when you have to look for 3-5 different bolt lengths that have the washer/t-nut. 4 - Not all pieces with the same letter and numbers are in the same box. There are four boxes, and yes, the slide is in sections inside the box. 5 - If it's cold outside, head indoors with your slide pieces. This will make the slide surface easier to bow into the slots. 6 - Go slow with the screws. The bolts and lag bolt are no biggie, but the screw you'll want to put in slowly, especially when you fastening into a thin width. 7 - Pay attention to the piece orientation. I know it can be hard because of the darkened print pieces currently on each step, but you'll notice holes that need to be in the right spot, or else you end up drilling holes mid process. Easy to do, but could have saved time on my end! 8 - When applying the T-Nuts into the wood, use a mallet and pop it in. This will make life lots easier! 9 - Be patient. This build is worth the patience for the price tag! 10 - Don't hesitate to reach out to customer service. I had 6 pieces that I needed replaced (not their fault - shipping's fault) and they were hands down amazing. It was free (except I wanted it fast, so I paid $15 to ship all my replacements in two days). GOOD LUCK!

Took a while to put together, and was missing about 20 screws of the same size, so replacing them from Lowes was easy. Instructions was a little vague in spots but otherwise pretty good. Kids love it. Just make sure when you start, that you have it square and level, it'll make the assembly a lot smoother.

Good instructions for assembly and high quality. Parts are across several boxes though; for example there are 10 boards to make up the rock wall, but the 10 boards are in 4 different boxes; which was annoying during assembly and makes assembly slower if you don't have room to lay everything out and sort prior to building. Put it together myself in 2 weekends. Very sturdy and will bring years of enjoyment.

Well here's the story i bought the model highlander before this at one of the clubs but when i saw this online it looked quite bigger for a couple of hundred dollars more so i ordered this one after looking and reading soo many good reviews about it . Over all i would give it 95/100 and the 5 i took out were for being it soo difficult to assemble and i really mean its not one of the easiest swing one can assemble . You really need to be good with a drill first of all other thn that forget about it and thn u make one or two inch difference in putting one of the parts thn you can expect entire thing to be put together again . Took 3 ppl almost 2 days to make it happen and yes please do make sure u check out all the parts and arrange them according to the list given as one missing bolt/screw can leave u stranded till it arrives or else the other option like we did was went to homedepot where there particular size wasnt available and we ended up putting a longer length hex bolt(abt 2 inch bigger) which does look ugly and not satisfactory to ones view . Or else i could have waited for a week for it to be shipped and thn what if another part was missing call again?. any ways just count all the parts including hardware assign one extra day for it believe me its worth it . Now finally after its put up together doesnt look like a bad job by my helper couple of parts are not alligned like they should be but i think it was overall a very hectic job and requires a good handyman to do it not really difficult to read the steps thought but still i'd say go for it not a bad product for the price.

My daughter has been spending hours playing on her swing set. It was very difficult to put together. I did not receive all the correct pieces and had to add some extra pieces to make the little picnic table work out. There were several pieces that were cracked/broken. Even though it was a hassle my daughter loves the swing set.

Great value, all pieces were present. All wood was in good shape. Assembly was very difficult if you want a precision job and I have very good carpentry skills. The instructions were very difficult to follow. The word instructions did not always match the pictures and several times they had you anchor something down to early that could cause alignment issues. You can avoid this by reading ahead at least a page or two and modifing as you go.

I bought this play set for my grandchildren. Had it assembled.The quality is great! I would put together myself next time. have put 2 other styles together and it was very easy. They have so much fun playing on it. There's adventures every time they use it. Quality is great and easy to put together. This is my third purchase from backyard Discovery. Highly recommend!

This swingset turned out really great. Instructions were a little unclear at times and the bolts had a residue on them so they had a hard time grabbing to the drill when screwing them in. Also, the slide is a bit floppy but everything else was great. Kids love it.

We got this fort for our 3 young sons (ages, 3,5&8), they love it and I like how it will grow them. The playfort is great for snacks and for a hideout and the crows nest allows them to see when Mom & Dad are on their way!! We had someone put it together and it was the best decision we ever made!

We bought this for our daughter who will be 3 soon with hopes that she would be able to play with this set for a long time. We don't quite have the set together yet, but I think she will get many years of enjoyment out of it. It comes in 4 big boxes that have to be carried by at least two people. We took out the hardware (screws, bolts, etc.) first and I separated them into a couple dozen throw away food storage containers and labeled the outside of the plastic container. This was a huge help! It has made the small pieces easy to find, and keeps all 400 of some of the screws together in one place. We were missing a couple of bolts and some flat washers, but we just went to our neighborhood hardware store and picked some up. The directions are a little difficult to interpret. They're often vague and the pictures aren't helpful sometimes. My husband, who is extremely handy and has built many things for our home, and my dad who is very good at building stuff as well, have found that they've had to undo some of the steps because the directions weren't explicit and it wasn't until three steps later they discovered that they had attached something incorrectly. This is very frustrating and has caused the project to take a bit longer than it probably should have taken. Plan on spending quite a bit of time working on this. We started the set on a Friday night after my husband got off work. We worked on it off and on during the weekend because it was very rainy and stormy. We've worked on it most nights after our daughter goes to bed as well, but there are 103 steps to putting the set together and some steps require screwing 16 boards in place, for example. So, it takes a while. My husband recommends having a cordless drill with at least two batteries so that you can keep recharging the batteries. We have used the drill as a screwdriver and socket wrench, and this has cut down on the time spent screwing stuff together. If you can, try to have someone help you put it together. That way, one person can retrieve the parts you need, while the other person puts it together. This also cuts down on time. Overall, we're pleased with the quality of the set and the priced we paid. We would definitely recommend this to friends and family. Our daughter is chomping at the bit to get out there and play on the set!
