Our little grandkids love this swing set. The only thing I wish wasn't on this play set is the monkey bars. It is a huge drop or fall for small kids. I want to take away monkey bars and replace it with another slide, close up that wall side so no one falls out, or a plank walk way. Discovery will not allow if we modify anything to void the warranty. I have called twice for their builders or engineers to modify the set for new ones. It took several days to put this together. Came in lots of boxes and pieces were spread into several boxes to build one part. Love the finished product and brand.
Amazing & worth the money!
By far the best gift I have ever purchased for my grandkids. A little intimidating arriving by freight and the thought of assembly; however, with an awesome Uncle Jake and Gramps the assembly went smoothly. Highly recommend organizing all the pieces and hardware PRIOR to starting the assembly and FOLLOW the instruction booklet! Assembly did take a few days; but the grandkids remained excited during the process. Great purchase!
Great playset but soft wood!
Let me start by saying this playset is incredible and it's beautiful. It offers so many different activities to keep the kids entertained. I can not complain about the look of it at all because it's the prettiest one I've ever seen. Now to the cons. The wood is incredibly soft and many pieces were split in the box. If you get a screw the slightest bit off, your board is going to split like a knife through butter. There were several instances where the predrilled holes did not line up at all so we had to drill new holes. On the birds nest, a screw hole intersected with a lag bolt hole, which obviously wouldn't work so we had to drill another hole here as well. One major design flaw is the opening where the money bars come into the main structure. It is directly beside of the slide so if two children were being inpatient with the slide, someone could easily fall and get seriously injured. I remedied this temporarily by placing a board across the opening. The bird nest looks really cool but I feel the floor boards for it should've been made of a much sturdier material. It took my husband and I 5 days working about 5 hours a day to get it all together. The Bilt app is absolutely amazing to help with constructing the playset. Overall I am very pleased and probably would've given it 5 stars if the wood was not so soft.
Thank you for taking the time to review our product! We are sorry to hear that you are not 100% satisfied with your product
Awesome play set!!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this last summer for my young grand children. They love to visit Nana and have so much fun on it! This play set was a pleasure to build, every part is numbered and the instruction were written so well, that assembly was stress free. Couldn’t be more happy with this purchase.
My kids love it!
So this thing is a serious playground. it's great my kids love it but boy let me tell you about the setup! It took me and one other person two weekends and me working on the side pieces during the week to finally get it complete I strongly suggest sorting out all of the bolts and screws and nuts in numeric order on a table and using the lids of the wood boxes to sort all the different pieces if you like Puzzles this assembly is definitely for you it was fairly simple I strongly suggest downloading the bilt app this app was a lifesaver instructions were pretty simple so follow it's just a lot of manual labor most of the wood pieces were pretty good condition but quite a few were chipped or warped but in the end all the hard work was worth it endless hours of entertainment!

My kids love it!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My wife and I bought this for our 5 and 10 year olds and they absolutely love it! Im a fabricator/ jack of all trades so, the build was a blast for me. It took me alone 15hrs start to finish. A little advice if you buy one.. when you get the boxes, pull everything out and put everything in alphabetical and numerical order. There is A LOT of stuff! Also, organized hardware will make it much easier. I highly recommend you have tools like, drill and 3/8" bit, impact drill, hammer, tape measure, and socket set (mainly everything is 1/2" & 9/16" socket). I had to use my table saw for a couple boards but, other than that everything was good. Whoever engineered the drawing for this did a great job, every bolt hole and pilot hole lined up perfectly. Great product!
Backyard Discovery Skyfort
I just bought this and we are so happy with it so far! It seems very sturdy. I looked through multiple sets before I decided because I wanted something my kids could play on now but also grow with and last for years and I think this set will definitely meet my expectations.
Skyfort Cedar Swingset
I purchased this swingset because it had everything monkey bars, slide, rock wall, swings, crowsnest. What I didn't realize was it had a built in picnic table and two bay windows not seen in the photo. It's a beautiful set well worth the money once it was completed. It's well made and I found the directions easy to follow. It's a time consuming process but well worth the effort. My one and only minor complaint would be that the barrel nuts I received were not threaded properly and we had to scrap them and use our own nuts and bolts in a few spots but other than that the set went up without a hitch. As for my kids 5 and 6 we can't keep them off it and with summer coming it's worth its weight in gold. It's bigger than anyone else's I have seen and the kids love it which is what really matters to me.
Thank you for the 5-star review, we are happy to hear that you are enjoying your set
Time will tell. . .
Took a couple days to assemble -- most went well, but fellows said instructions could have been a little better as to certain things. Looks very nice when finished; kids love it; however, wish the quality of the wood was just a little better. On the ladder, when assembling, one of the legs of the ladder actually split, which is quite noticeable on the finished product. I would say this is a pretty good set -- but was more expensive than most I looked at -- so I expect it to last and wear well.
Great Swing Set
We bought this for our daughter who will be 3 soon with hopes that she would be able to play with this set for a long time. We don't quite have the set together yet, but I think she will get many years of enjoyment out of it. It comes in 4 big boxes that have to be carried by at least two people. We took out the hardware (screws, bolts, etc.) first and I separated them into a couple dozen throw away food storage containers and labeled the outside of the plastic container. This was a huge help! It has made the small pieces easy to find, and keeps all 400 of some of the screws together in one place. We were missing a couple of bolts and some flat washers, but we just went to our neighborhood hardware store and picked some up. The directions are a little difficult to interpret. They're often vague and the pictures aren't helpful sometimes. My husband, who is extremely handy and has built many things for our home, and my dad who is very good at building stuff as well, have found that they've had to undo some of the steps because the directions weren't explicit and it wasn't until three steps later they discovered that they had attached something incorrectly. This is very frustrating and has caused the project to take a bit longer than it probably should have taken. Plan on spending quite a bit of time working on this. We started the set on a Friday night after my husband got off work. We worked on it off and on during the weekend because it was very rainy and stormy. We've worked on it most nights after our daughter goes to bed as well, but there are 103 steps to putting the set together and some steps require screwing 16 boards in place, for example. So, it takes a while. My husband recommends having a cordless drill with at least two batteries so that you can keep recharging the batteries. We have used the drill as a screwdriver and socket wrench, and this has cut down on the time spent screwing stuff together. If you can, try to have someone help you put it together. That way, one person can retrieve the parts you need, while the other person puts it together. This also cuts down on time. Overall, we're pleased with the quality of the set and the priced we paid. We would definitely recommend this to friends and family. Our daughter is chomping at the bit to get out there and play on the set!
