Awsome purchase
I studied playsets for our girls for over a year and decided this was the best for the money. I am not at all disapointed. Read other reviews due to issues others had. I myself was not missing anything, however I still need to call CS and get two pieces replaced.(Not critical). I built this set pretty much entirely by myself, had help with positioning the frame before starting the floors, putting in ground stakes, and placing the swingset beam. Took me about two weeks to finish, but this included two coats of water proofing protection on each piece prior to assembling. Looks great and my girls absolutely love it ages 5 and 4. It is very sturdy and sound, adults can't help themselves and have swung on it and used the slide. I would highly recommend this set, you will not be disappointed, and customer service is great. I misunderstood instructions a couple of times in the begining, so once again really look at the pics too, otherwise they were very thorough. Project completed mid July. Still very pleased.
Thank you for your 5-star review.
Very cute & easy to build
This is a very cute playset. Even better in person. My husband had no problem putting it together even with the kids "helping". The only thing I was bumed about was the wood was thinner than I thought it would be ~ just wish the flooring had thicker boards. Other than that a SUPER cute & fun set!! :o)
Thank you for your 5-star review.
pretty great!
was looking for a playlet for my home daycare. this one looked the best for the price. shipping was fast (2 weeks). two boxes were ripped open upon delivery. pieces were scratched but not too bad. one piece of a window panel was broken off but i stapled it back on. one chain for the glider was 4 links too short (i will be calling costumer service in the morning). i just finished putting it together. the key was organization, i spent two hours organizing the pieces by letter and number. i also put all the 30 different bolts and screws in bowl and labeled them. it took two of us (very handy) about 20 hours. here are the pros and cons CONS- wood was very soft. had to be very careful not to over tighten the screws, split a few pieces. -several pieces were not labeled well so it took a while to figure out what they were -the directions were really good and easily to follow but we made several mistakes due to turning the pieces the wrong way(because it was hard to see in the pictures) which ended up causing us to go back or redrill the holes. -the green metal Lbrackets need to be installed one way. it is not labeled in the directions so make sure the holes will line up correctly -the crows nest needs a roof. its so high i worry about the safety of it -the swings are too close together -the wood was chipping in several places, had to glue several spots to prevent peeling. i definitely worry about splinters. i will be sealing it asap to give it a smoother feel -the slide seems really flimsy. it has too solid plastic sides but the center is like a thick plastic sheet that fits in the middle. it definetly could be made stronger. the only thing that holds it to the swing set is three bolts drilled through the plastic. PROS-tons of extra bolts and screws -huge set! almost too tall I'm planning on blocking off the monkey bar opening for my little ones. -very sturdy when assembled -alot of area to play -very pretty set, very nice poking, not cheap at all overall very excited about the set
Very Pleased
I have had this swing set for over a month. I believe you should own something a while before reviewing it so here it goes. The assembly was pretty tough and it took me around 30 hrs to do so. I had help 1of the 4 days from my father but the rest was all on my own. It can be done with one person, just takes a little longer. My 2 girls (4 & 2) and I play on this set almost every day after we get home. Size is great and quality is also. I would highly recommend, as others have, to group and lay every peice out before getting started. Some of my pieces were not stamped or were unreadable at best. The instruction book was detailed enough for me to figure it out but it made tougher than it had to be. Its a running joke, but no kidding I had an excessive amount of bolts/screws left over so dont be alarmed. I reread the book to make sure I didn't missing anything and believe they add extra just to be sure, (at least I'm hoping anyway). Other than the extra bolts, it was a masterful assembly by a true master. But seriously, nothing has fell apart yet and It is more sturdy than I expected. My 2 girls absolutely love it and I feel it is well worth the money. Definately has more detail with the windows, corner bracing, rails, and plenty of handles than any other I looked at. Extra little features that make it look great in your back yard.
Thank you for your 5-star review.
Great Playhouse for the money
I could not be happier with the Skyfort II Playhouse that I purchased for my daughter through Sam's Club. It was the least expensive I found, and it was delivered in less than two weeks. The directions were easy to follow, and it is made out of high quality cedar. My daughter is one happy little girl!

Very nice
Very nice once it’s assembled but extremely difficult to put together . Every piece has to be screwed together . I would have never made this purchase had I known this . I payed more to have someone put it together than the actual cost of the swing set. Also needs to be sealed to protect from the environment .
We truly appreciate you taking the time to leave us a review.

Decent Home Swing Set
Pros: 1. Fun mid-range swing for the price 2. The children enjoy it 3. Fast delivery and easy scheduling Cons: 1. The boards with the lookout tower should be one slab and not planks because sand/ particles fall on the kids underneath who are swinging. 2. The swings are a bit low so need adjusting 3. The monkey bars could have an extra bar to provide the needed length for smaller children to reach 4. The people who put together the swing set missed screws, studs, and altogether some need to be screwed again. Some screws were even screwed too much which has caused the wood to break and create splinters and broken pieces. We’ve had to make several adjustments in only 1 week. 5. The wood has huge splinters! Advise children to wear shoes at all times.

Lot of work, but worth it
Took 3-4 people 2 days to build. It was a LOT of work but daughter loves it (only 2 days in, so don't know about longevity). It needs some pull bars on the crows nest and some of the boards are thin (adults should avoid getting in the crows nest), but it has pretty much everything you could think of.
We are happy to hear your daughter is having fun on her Skyfort II. Following manufacturer maintenance and applying a clear sealant to protect the wood from the elements our daughter will play for years to come.

4 boxes when delivered plus the slide. Everything is labeled, locating parts takes time while assembling. We were missing a few screws but extras of other screws and bolts. One piece of wood was cracked M32. Online instructions and paperbook instructions were different order of assemble. The piece of wood that goes under the lookout platform as it attaches to the swing bar no directions to use it. Found it by looking up were that part went. 2 drills make the project go faster so you don't have to constantly change bits.
Thank you for the review and the great advice for our future customers.

Continual Damage During Assembly
We decided to purchase this swingset and assemble it ourselves (how hard can it be?), because another $700 to have someone set it up just seemed absurd. As soon as we started to put it together, pieces were breaking. Window frames peeled back and wood pieces split right in half. Although it is fine now, it took many hours of adjusting the work based on the shoddy materials. I would not buy this brand again.
I am very sorry to hear you had an unpleasant experience with your Skyfort II. We would love to help you replace any damaged pieces by filing a warranty claim, please contact us at customerserv@backyarddiscovery.com so we can assist you. We hope that in the future you give Backyard Discovery another chance.
