We bought this for our 3 sons (ages6, 2 and 6 months), they all absolutely love it, the older two more than the baby! There is plenty of room for our kids, plus their friends to play. We also added our infant swing from our old set, but with the glider and swing there is plenty of places for all the kids to swing. The estimated 20 hours for assembly was accurate, it would not have taken as long if the directions would have been clearer. There were a few times that we had to look ahead in the directions. We also had to take things apart and put them back together again. My husband is very handy, so that also helped. It also helped that we organized the wood and hardware before we started so that everything was easy to locate. I have since talked to another mother who bought a smaller set and now wishes that she had bought the skyfort too. It is a great set for the money.

The playground is beautiful but the instructions were horrible. It took my husband and I five days working from 3 to 6 hours each day. He's a very handyman with lots of tools so that made it easier. It took so long because we had to go back and fix things that were not explained in the directions. For example, in the picture it showed to build the frame with the plank on the outside and then 8 steps later, the picture showed the plank in the inside, so we had to undo the last steps to redo the mistake. Then other steps would have bolts in without nuts just to find we were short on nuts and it had something else instead. The roof was very hard to do. You definitely need a big ladder. Once we finished (during Christmas week), our 6 year old was afraid to stand up on the eagle's best because it's too high. The monkey bars are a little too high for our 4 year old. I'm sure when the weather gets better, they'll love being out there.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I assembled the Skyfort II in June of 2020. It was very hot in North Texas. I did not have any help in the assembly. I have a covered concrete apron adjacent to my home shop. I assembled the center section minus the roof in the shade under the awning. I realized early on in the assembly that I needed to plan two or three pages ahead in order to orient the pieces so that holes in other pieces corresponded later. After assembling the center section, I laid the section on a heavy duty garden wagon and rolled it about 100 feet to a level part of the yard. I stood the center section up and attached the roof pieces. I assembled the legs, monkey bars, ladders, and support brackets under the awning and then moved them into position on either side of the center section. I stood the crossbeam perpendicular to the legs and joined them. I raised the end section and supported the beam on a step ladder. I was then able to make the connection with the center section. On the other end, I laid the legs/ladder flat and attached the monkey bars. To complete the attachment, I again used a step ladder to support the monkey bars while making the connection. All that remained was a relatively simple matter of hanging the swings, slide, ladders, climbing wall, etc. and of course anchoring the swing set. All in all, it was a relatively simple and straight forward project as long as strict attention was paid to the assembly instructions. The instructions were clear and concise. It was essential that every piece of lumber, every bolt and screw, and every metal piece was identified. The best part of the project was watching my grandkids enjoy it. My grandson especially enjoys the crows nest. When he is visiting, he spends hours in the fort and in the crows nest looking for pirates with the aid of the telescope. Great swingset. A lot of pieces and parts to put together and very time consuming. Make sure to pre drill holes so wood doesn't split and pay attention to the already pre drilled holes on boards as you assemble, the directions don't point this out very well and if you get a board backwards you will have to take it back apart and flip the board the correct way. All and all its a great value and seems like it will last!

We made a good selection.  Parents and kiddos are very happy with Skyfort II. We used the instruction manual along with the Bilt app when building and we had this playground up in a total of 22 hours with the help of 3 other men. I had everything sorted in letter groups then put them in sections ie: fort, crows nest, swing and monkey bars. So easy to locate the parts for each section of the playground that way and I think that's why it was built so quick. We had one peice that was split so I called Backyard Discovery and with little hold/wait time I ordered the peice along with a new telescope with no issue. Ours was warped. I had ordered through another company, an infant swing and a play phone. Both green and it matches the sets other peices. With our children who are 18mths, 4yrs, 8yrs and 11yrs, they will enjoy this set for a long time. Mom even climbs up the crows nest with them. She is 5'7 and can stand straight up deck portion of the fort. Dad is 6'3 and he stands straight up in the middle of the main fort house. Lots of room and not short or small playset. This is must!! Purchased for our toddlers (aged 1 & 3) for Christmas hoping it would grow with them for years. My husband and I assembled ourselves to save the assembly charge. There instructions were clear and’s mostly easy to follow. Many of the boards were not well marked and difficult to identify. After the first few days of assembly (we did this on combined work breaks, spending a few hours here and there), we ended up sporting the pieces by step (hardware and wood required step by step) and that made assembly slightly quicker. Some of the wood for there decking and walls warped and we had to make a few cuts to make it work. The lumber and hardware were not organized by anything other than fitting it into the boxes, so we opened it all at the onset of our assembly project. Our girls love this set and it is rated to hold people up to 150 pounds, so I feel comfortable playing with them as well. Great set, good assembly instructions, and not so great marking of lumber for identification. I would definitely purchase this again.

we put this together last summer (me and my brother in law), the kids love it and it has held up very well. It did take two people two very long days to assemble. I would recommend borrowing an extra cordless drill (or three) so that you dont have to switch bits as often, and getting out of the crows nest was fun (im a big guy and it is the last step). The instructions were easy to follow too.

I thought the older kids might like the clubhouse feel it has, since we don’t have any trees for a tree house. It’s been fun for everyone to own this. It’s big, it’s safe, it’s sturdy. I’d highly recommend this set to anyone. We paid for it to be installed and it was done in one afternoon by two people. We have had no issues with any rough spots or weak pieces. We love it!

Love this product, great for the kids and instructions make it easy to put together. Ordered this product online and delivery was fast. Speedy deliver was a great benefit giving me time sooner to assemble in time for decent weather for the kids to play. Would recommend to anyone. Priced great compared to comparable products.

We just had a Skyfort II playset installed this past week and absolutely love it! We have two young boys and they have been enjoying it everyday since we had it installed. Perfect solution to help the kids get outside more (especially since parka are temporarily closed where we live).
