Seems Accurate

It was pricey when comparing it to retail store blood pressure monitor options. I have used garmin products for years and have come to trust their precision. I did not want it for smart technology usage, but ended up syncing to my phone and I love how it records my readings. I did compare its results to a blood pressure system at my employer and my retail store machine. All were pretty similar. I simply bought this because I don't like how my practitioner immediately gets blood pressure reading as I hustle to my appointment. I never had confidence in my previous machine. In summary, is it more accurate? Seems similar, but I paid the higher price because of my trust with garmin technology. One gets what they pay for.

Very good device.

Bought this just over a week ago. Pretty easy to use. Pretty easy to set up so that both my wife and I can use it and it reports our readings to our own Garmin Connect accounts, and we can track our individual progress on our phones. Two negatives, neither killer. One, I wish it was on the AMA list of calibrated BPM devices. Two, it often asserts that it has a problem reporting to our Garmin Connect account, but when we check, it's there.

Bulky. Great Results Once You Get It Paired

Garmin needs to slim this BPM down by a third. It's really bulky. I'm not small and the cuff takes up most of my upper arm. Makes me wonder if my wife is going to be able to use this. I had had a tough time getting the BPM to pair and upload successfully. Not smooth as it has (almost) always been with the myriad of other Garmin Connect devices I have. First time it didn't pair. Second time it paired but wouldn't connect. Third time was the charm. Once properly set up and connected it's been great. Results are in line with several other BPM I have to check accuracy. I want to love this BPM, but it presented two problems: bulky size and glitchy set-up. So the best I can do is give it 4 stars.

Very easy and convenient to use, very accurate.

Wanted to buy a device that would give me accurate results, most of the devices out there don't have properly calibrated microphones, so the diastolic reading is normally too high. As this is FDA certified, the promise is to have more precise readings. Nothing substitute a manual reading, but this is very close to what I get manually, also the convenience of the app to track readings over time is a very good feature for those that need to show it to their doctor. Kudos to Garmin.

Easy to use, excellent integration!

I bought this roughly a month ago. My doctor wanted me to keep track of my BP readings. When she first requested that I track it, I purchased another brand that also had app integration. Unfortunately, the integration didn't work all that well. When Garmin came out with the BPM monitor, since I was already invested in the Garmin ecosystem, I decided to give it a try. Short story is that I love it. The integration is fast and automatic, and the readings are spot on with what my doctor is taking. Aside from that, it is intuitive, easy to use, and very compact compared to the other options.

Another part of the health & fitness puzzle solved

Activity trackers, on body sensors, the connected scale now this! A blood pressure cuff that automatically drops your readings into a single health and fitness app! Love it. Maybe they'll work on a lactate sensor next? Now in my 50's my doctor asked to track my blood pressure. Plenty of connected devices out there but then you have to link apps and deal with all the headaches. This connects directly to your network, uploads the readings to Garmin Connect and you can easily track them in the single location.

Convenience

I really like the convenience of the space to not have to manually. Enter work pressure and heart rate. This may seem like a small thing, but it has made it look easier for me to track and sync up with my phone and therefore communicate with my physician how my blood pressure control medication‘s are working.

Synch's well with app

I bought this to start tracking my blood pressure and keep accurate records. Easy setup and it works wonderfully synching the information immediately to garmin connect app. The problem I'm having is the readings are higher than my other much cheaper monitor and when being checked by my doctor. All 3 within 5 minutes: Garmin 157/88 Cheap 130/75 Doc (arm cuff and stethoscope) 120/70

Nice pressure cuff

This is the fourth blood pressure cuff I've bought. It is my favorite of them all. The reading are fairly accurate as compared to a manual sphygmomanometer. That being said, you do have to be Very Careful and follow the instructions exactly or you will wind up with a very inaccurate reading. Arm strength out resting at heart level. Give yourself a few minutes to relax before you take a reading. I don't think any of the automatic blood pressure cuffs are exact, but if used correctly gets you in the “ballpark”. I like that it automatically saves the data to Garmin Connect.

Accurate and easy to use

I am in the Garmin eco system already with an Epix watch, Index scale, Edge bike computer, inReach and I was hoping they'd come out with this. Everything syncs automatically via wifi so I can easily check my weight, stress, heart rate and now blood pressure all in one place so I can get a picutre of my health all in one place. And their Connect software is pretty awesome and easy to use as well. Apple what? ;)
