Expensive, and Connectivity Helps with Tracking

This is an expensive way to take your blood pressure, but the ability to have it automatically upload to Garmin Connect and then track your numbers over time is helpful. Could you do the same with a pen and paper? Sure, but that's not why you're looking at this. The results seem consistent and accurate. If you're in the Garmin ecosystem and want to add blood pressure to the data info you collect, then this can be a great tool.

Very Compact

This may not be as accurate as my large Omron blood pressure machine (the type with a cuff, air hose, brain box and wall plug) but it is so much easier to use, and easier to travel with. I also love that it sends data to my Garmin connect app where I track all of my health related data. Sometimes I get readings that seem way off and find myself having to adjust the position of the cuff and take a couple readings, once you find the sweet spot for fit and position though it gives fairly consistent readings, comparable to any other wrist mount or travel size cuff.

Junk

Right out of the box, the unit had issues pairing with the app and finding our wifi. Control buttons and functions are unclear and the user manual was not much help. Battery compartment design is terrible, access is hidden beneath the cuff and the latch broke after two days so it wouldn't stay closed. All-around failure in every possible way. Returned. I wasn't going to post this review because I generally like my other Garmin products, but Garmin kept spamming me asking me for a review. Careful what you wish for.

Blood pressure monitor is good - the scale is awfu

I bought this about a month ago and find it to be very accurate and easy to use. It syncs seamlessly with my phone. I also bought the scale and after the first one shattered and put glass into my leg, they sent me a second one, which didn't work. The scales are less than worthless and a danger to you.

Well constructed, compact, and works well

Excellent compact design that delivers. Once initial fitting is done, you simply slip it on and push the button to start. No need for refitting every time. Love that I can keep a running record of my blood pressure over time. With the compact design, you can even travel with it. Also allows for multiple user tracking.

Easy to use w Garmin account

Garmin's blood pressure cuff is a very nice first addition. Calibrated out of box Graphics and exports to PDF are very useful and nice. Materials and ease of use are very simple. I hope they update software to move menu order to have 'history' before Bluetooth and wifi menu options. Current it makes viewing last reading on device many more clicks then needed. I hope they push a software update to allow adding another users name to BPcuff with one Garmin connect account instead of forcing each person to make their own account. Example families. It's great for tracking but if one person is ONLY doing BP and not tied into the rest of garmin feels annoying. I hope next version or a software update to this one can get it to do HRV or sync with capable watch to do at same time as cuff and store that information together in same 'health' report. HRV is such an important health metric and it is just now starting to be considered more. Garmin needs to push more into this health space to not get left behind.

Almost 5 stars but heavy battery drain

I have been using this MPM for almost 10 months. Easy operations, but for me, a tad slow while sync is on. You must wait quite a while after recording to get it further (2nd measurement or user). What is more frustrating is an incredible battery drain. I may be wrong and do something badly, but since the device has been in use for 10 months, I have changed 5 complete sets of batteries (4AAA) from different OEMs. In any case, I thank you for this great invention.

I would have given it 5 stars, but for the cuff.

I purchased the Index due to it's size and “all in one” construction, which I felt would be perfect for traveling. I currently own an Equate monitor, which has been going strong for a couple of years, but it takes up room in my suitcase. The only complaint I have is the cuff design. It's the same size as the Equate, but I am not impressed with the “strip” design of the Velcro. My arm size happens to fall within one of the plastic strips, and I cannot bent it to stay in place. It either falls outside the strip and is too loose, or too tight if I place it on the other side. I recommend you use a tankard “half and half” cuff design.

Compact and easy to use!

I've been looking for a reliable way to monitor my blood pressure and this device fit the bill perfectly. I'm taking regular readings and along with the data from my Epix watch I'm getting a clearer picture of my day to day health and fitness levels.

It works, it is portable

After using for about a month, I am still not sure about the accuracy. My cheaper amazon monitor readings are closer if not the same as when I get at the doctors office. The Garmin unit can be up to 10 higher. It is a good unit, nice app it works with, still need to do more testing for checking accuracy.
