I've had this device 1 month. I check my BP 3x a week. I always take it 3 times in a row and take the average. Sometimes the top number is way low the first time then high the second time. Not sure if it's positioning on my upper arm or what? Once I find the "sweet" spot on my arm, readings tend to trend closer to correct numbers.

When I got the Garmin index, I was excited. I needed to monitor my blood pressure due to starting a new medication that could cause my blood pressure to rise. I set it up and started taking my blood pressure daily. The Index kept telling me I had Stage 1 and Stage 2 blood pressure. So I followed up with my doctor as soon as I could. Well, my blood pressure is fine. We did side by side tests and the Index is a good 30 points, on average, above my actual numbers!

I'm getting a measurement of around 170/100, multiple times. I have other Omron BPMs and they're all sub 140 / sub 90. It makes no sense. First Garmin product I'm disappointed with. Hoping there's a software/firmware update in the next few days to get this working correctly or it's going back.

I purchased this product because of our previous positive experience with Garmin fitness products for cycling, running, and a Garmin scale. Our Garmin scale works well for helping us to collect fitness data about weight and body mass. This has not been the case with the Garmin BPM Smart Blood Pressure Monitor. The software for the Index BPM seems buggy and becomes disconnected from my other Garmin fitness products in the Garmin app. I usually have to do a factory reset and erase the Index BPM from the Garmin app to get it working properly. After a few unsuccessful attempts, it has become a hassle for me to go through this reset process when I try to use this device weekly. The three-button user interface is so basic that I have to refer to the user's guide to remind me which button I should use to start it or to switch users. (my wife wants to use it too). It doesn't seem to work well for her either. The device is all black and has a cleanly design appearance; however, it's difficult to see the symbols/indicators for each button on the device. Words or colors would help make this a better product. The device also seems to provide accurate measurements for blood pressure – when it works. As a current owner of a Garmin scale and a purchaser of generations of Garmin watches from 2009 till now, I would not recommend the Index BPM. It does not work as well as our other Garmin products. The concept of keeping track of my blood pressure with all my other fitness data from running/walking/cycling is very attractive. However, the Index BPM device does not work flawlessly for me as a consumer. Perhaps it will become "smarter" and work better with a future upgrade from Garmin. For now, I plan to revert back to my non-Garmin for tracking.

Disappointing device. The device "forgets" users periodically (once a month), and I have drop the device and re-add it to my account to get it to work again. When it does work, it is difficult to adjust and often generates different numbers between my left and right arm.

This is a great blood pressure monitor and what's better is that it's from Garmin. It integrates with the Garmin connect app and I have all my readings in one place that way I can see if there's trends or if my blood pressure is higher on certain days. Once again with Garmin everything is at your fingertips this is definitely better than expected and I expected a lot!

I work as an Anesthesiologist. I was very surprised a month ago when I recorded high blood pressures during a routine physical. I compared the garmin machine to the machines in the hospital. Both were the same. I appreciate the connivence of the data streaming to my phone. I already used garmin connect for my cycling and other workouts. I would recommend this product

I bought this to replace my old monitor that needed to plug into the wall. It is so much more convenient to be able to sit anywhere I want rather than needing to be right near an outlet. It's also small enough that I can bring it with me when I travel. The fact that it automatically syncs with Garmin Connect is a super bonus. Love it!

I leave this unit in our company break room where anyone can use it. Most people in my company have Garmin products (Watches, EDGE, etc.) and already use Connect so it was easy to add the BPM to our WIFI network and I invited the various users to attach to it. We all use it daily and log the data into our own Connect accounts. You just select the user with the top button. It couldn't be easier!

Купил этот прибор, так как являюсь пользователем многих устройств Garmin: часы Epix, велокомпьютер Edge 530, педали Rally, радар, весы.. Что понравилось - все данные попадают в Garmin Connect без дополнительных манипуляций. Прибор удобный и компактный. Поддерживает несколько пользователей (как и весы Index). Что хотелось бы дополнительно: нет кейса для хранения и перевозки. Данные о давлении не учитывываются в рекомендациях по тренировкам и здовроью в Connect.
