My wife and I currently have Garmin bike computers, watches, and scale. Adding this blood pressure cuff was a no brainer because now we can track our BP in the Garmin Connect app with all of our other health data. I love that I can use one app to track so many health data points! It is also convenient to share with my doctor at annual checkups. The only thing that is slightly annoying is the adjustment strap is awkward to use- I never feel like I have it on just right. Overall very happy with this product and highly recommend it.

Bought this unit for traveling because of its compact nature. Compared it to my 2 home units which are spot on. This thing was all over the place. Absolutely no consistency even from one reading after another. Don't know if mine faulty but I sent it back. I am a big Garmin fan, but not this?

My one suggestion would be that the blood pressure monitor could be taken at your wrist instead of your arm... The cup monitors that the hospitals use are very accurate and easier to use. I bought a separate Garmin case for my device but it sure doesn't fit very well.

I love the way this BPM integrates with Garmin Connect, storing my blood pressure readings with the rest of my exercise and health data. My previous BPM is very old; I have been using it for many years, and it employs terribly antiquated software for transferring data onto my laptop in Excel format. The Garmin BPM saves me so much time, as the recording is automatic. Also, the graphic displays are more helpful, and I can examine my BP with respect to other data. I think that I will soon be adding Garmin's scale to my Garmin hardware so that I can track my weight automatically, too. Definitely, if they reduce the price. I had been waiting for the price of the Garmin BPM to go down for some time, and it finally did, so I sprang for the monitor and I am not disappointed. The only reason I gave the Garmin BPM 4 instead of 5 stars is that, unlike my previous monitor (and most monitors, I believe), it does not detect HR irregularities. It seems to me that Garmin could add this feature easily with a software update, and I hope they do so soon. Also, I wish that there was not a 1-minute pause between readings for the 3-readings option, as I tend to get stressed waiting for a whole minute between readings, which probably raises my blood pressure, lol. My old monitor had a 10-second pause between readings for its 3-reading option, and I do think that taking three readings is more accurate than one. In terms of absolute accuracy, this is always difficult to judge without comparing to a perfect, infallible BPM (which does not exist, in my opinion). My blood pressure is always much higher at the doctor's office (white lab coat anxiety), but I have found that readings at the doctor's office can vary wildly within a 10-minute period, depending on who is taking my BP. My old monitor always gave me readings at home much lower than typically measured at the doctor's office (~120/75 compared to 145/90), although when I brought in my old monitor it gave me a higher reading that day than the doctor's. So much for measurement reliability. The Garmin has been giving me values intermediate to the doctor and my old monitor, around 128/84, and I am thinking that the Garmin might be the most accurate of all.

The monitor is easy to apply and syncs flawlessly with Garmin Connect. I give it only 3 stars because I believe the readings are not accurate and consistent as I believe it sometimes reads at least 10 points higher than a normal cuff and stethoscope. For example, I took a reading in the morning after waking up and before eating and coffee, and I then went to the doctor's appointment a few hours later, after breakfast, coffee, and exercise, and the reading at the doctor was approximately 10 points lower than my Garmin reading a few hours earlier. At least it seems the readings are consistent and may help identify a sustained rise in BP.

The band is very difficult for me to roll up properly. My pressure seems to be a little higher than when I use my other machines. All in all it's okay but a little hard for me to operate. Personally I will continue to use my older machines because all the time it takes to set up properly my blood pressure is up already. Thank you.

I have another home model BP machine and I use both the Garmin index and the other. They have quite different numbers and I don't know which is more accurate. The other is a top model and brand. I love the portability of the index and I love Garmin products. A loyal customer for a long time but I am concerned about the readings and the accuracy. I hope I'm wrong.

Great integration with Connect and readings seem to be tracking accurately vs my not so smart old cuff. One quibble on the interpretation of the readings.... according to my doc, Connect is being too aggressive in flagging high BP. Perhaps they aren't age adjusted but things aren't as serious as Connect would have you believe.

Since I am a user of the Fenix 7X, S2 Scale, Heart Rate Monitor, It was only a matter of time to purchase this BP Monitor. Simple to use and it is great since the readings are updated in the connect app. Only 4 stars since there are times with the device shows E3 errors (something went wrong with the readings) or one gets crazy high reading which shows as hypertensive crisis, and one is advised go to the hospital. At the hospital when they check the BP, it is Stage 2. Scared the heck out of me and the family. So expect everyonce in a while a crazy reading.

Just received my monitor. So easy to set up and sync to Connect App on my IPhone . Really nice design and readings are very accurate . I compared to other BP monitor I have and they were the same result. Great to be able to email readings to Cardiologist when needed. Well done Garmin
