I bought this July 2022. I have problems with it 80% of the time. It keeps shutting off when I try to review live or recorded video on my cell. Very hard to rewind video, takes many tries. I have to tap things 5 times to see live video. I have to click "front yard camera" box many times because it shuts off. It's just a pain trying to use it. The picture and sound are great when they work.

I bought this camera for exactly one purpose -- to see what animals are eating everything we plant in our back yard. I have adjusted all the sensitivity settings, but it has still yet to capture a single clip of any animal. All it ever records is clips of me, my wife, our gardener, and the pool guy. Plus, without a paid subscription, it only keeps recordings for 3 hours and then deletes them. So even if it did record an animal in the middle of the night, I wouldn't be able to watch it. So for my purposes, the camera has been useless.

Nest battery cam outperforms other cameras. I have had several other brands and google camera great in video and easy to install and use. The biggest selling point for me is the live feed (no refresh before you see) and the App! The google home app is great (not as good as the old nest app) but better than the competitors.

This works well with other Google devices! The camera quality is decent, but the device complains every few days about being too cold in the winter. Because there are no fixed mounting positions, you are free to position the camera precisely, but there’s no good way to put it back in exactly the same place after charging it.

I use my nest cameras thru a window to see the outside. (Cameras are positioned as close to the window pane as I can get .... one hangs from a curtain rod and i have 2 on purchased bases. all have the infrared turned off). Outside below the windows i have sòlar led garden ĺights for lighted outside night viewing. i can vìew my property añytime of day from anywhere using the Home app on a tablet, phòne, hub etc. i have 3 Nest cameras in use and recommend the use of Nest cameras thru a window using Wi-Fi. Setting the camera views up I hold a tablet nearby so i can see exactly where the cameras is going to be pointing. Saves a lot of setup time doing it this way. These cameras are very useful for personal safety. It should also be mentioned the ease of saving video and screenshots to your device for future reference. I recommend stopping your video close to where you want to note, enlarge the scene by pinching and stretching then screenshotting a view to save. i find Nest cameras do satifactorly what I expect of them by developing useful tricks to accomplish what I need. Nest products are recommended for your peace of mind.

The next-gen Google Nest cameras have some great new features, but they have removed some of the essential tools that I use every day with my older Nest cams. DO NOT BUY if you need to be able to save random clips or long clips. This cam will only let you save clip that its AI has decided are important. DO NOT BUY if you need to monitor the camera on a PC/Mac, it can only be viewed in the Google Home app on your phone. This camera does not show up in the Nest app, and it does not let you record time-lapse clips. Overall, my experience with this camera has been frustrating and disappointing. I have a total of 7 Nest cameras installed including this one.

These are awesome cameras! but i have 2 existing ones already hooked up, sadly i can not get the new one online. i have tried everything except rebutting my server there is no one to contact and i have read this is a ongoing issue with google. Had i purchased all the cameras at the same time could possibly work i ended up buying a small cheep camera for inside instead it works great!

Excellent, very easy to use

It is rarely on sale and Walmart offered it at a reduced price.

Would not hold a charge 24 hours.
