Had Nest generation one camera which I could use with the Nest App loved it love the App. Got the Nest floodlight camera which had to go on the Google app. The app is horrible. Had two cameras last year the fee for the privilege of using the app and being able to store information and look at my camera was $250. Got rid of both went to cameras I don’t have to pay a subscription.!! again love Nest when you could use the app the app was perfect Google. You ruined it and then you want me to pay for it.

The next-gen Google Nest cameras have some great new features, but they have removed some of the essential tools that I use every day with my older Nest cams. DO NOT BUY if you need to be able to save random clips or long clips. This cam will only let you save clip that its AI has decided are important. DO NOT BUY if you need to monitor the camera on a PC/Mac, it can only be viewed in the Google Home app on your phone. This camera does not show up in the Nest app, and it does not let you record time-lapse clips. Overall, my experience with this camera has been frustrating and disappointing. I have a total of 7 Nest cameras installed including this one.
