I've had it 2 weeks. It is very hard. I like a firm mattress but this is really hard. It doesn't even feel like a memory foam, it's so hard. I'm told I can't return it before 30 days because it has to break in. I don't think I would have bought it had I known that. They tell me I have to break it in by walking on it, jumping on it, sleeping on it... Really? It's morning and I'm laying on it right now and my back is sore. Trust me, I don't want to have to return it. I want it to be the best mattress ever. But right now it's not. If after 30 days I find it's the greatest thing ever I will update this review.

We are a couple of different size. The mattress is certainly cooler than our memory foam topper was. The mattress is also firmer and more conforming. When one partner moves, the mattress does not. My wife loves it, I am still getting used to it. It takes a little adjustment. However, I like it better than our old mattress...still deciding the cost vs difference over traditional mattress value equation.

The mattress seems very well made and didn't have any odors or anything like that when I opened the vacuum seal. In fact, it being 100% manufactured in the US rather than China (where who knows what chemicals they might use) was a main reason I went with GhostBed. The mattress is really very nice, BUT - and this is a big but - it's much more firm than I expected. I was looking for a memory foam mattress with that plush, sink-in feeling, and this isn't it. The mattress is firm, but still does a nice job relieving pressure points, so while I'd rather a softer mattress, I still give it 4 stars. My wife loves it though, and we both love the pillows. Summary: Great quality, but best for those that like a firmer feel.

We bought this mattress about a month ago, after looking at a lot of various review sites and assessing different mattresses (we'd also tried out a tempur-pedic in a furniture store at one point). We decided on GhostBed due to a few factors - value for the price, warranty, trial period, and firmness of the mattress. While this isn't the cheapest mattress out there, I felt it was the best overall value. The 20 year warranty is excellent. Be aware that after 10 years you have to pay a percentage of the cost of a new mattress, which increases each year up to year 20, but that's still a whole lot better than just having to buy a new mattress outright after year 10. I also wanted the long trial period, since these mattresses can take awhile to fully break in. And the firmness was important, since the firmest it'll ever be is when it's brand new. I wanted to start off on the firmer side and let it soften up, rather than start off perfect and have it end up too soft. All that being said, we love this mattress. The first couple nights were a little sore, but after that it was great. When I first opened the shrink wrap there was a slight smell, but only noticeable if I put my nose right on the mattress. Once I got sheets on it, we haven't noticed any odor. The mattress is comfortable in just about any position, and it's neither too bouncy nor too soft. I've got no complaints or regrets about buying this mattress, and someday when we have the cash to replace our old (and very infrequently used) guest room mattress I'm going to want another GhostBed.

After almost a month I must say it has proven to be a lot better then I expected. The first week or so I found myself waking up at least once a night but now that it is somewhat broken in I have been sleeping through thee night. Also, it works extremely well with my adjustable bed platform; better then the original mattress. Although it seems to generate more heat then I thought it would it just means less covers which makes sleeping more enjoyable. I like the fact that you really don't sink into the mattress and there are no issues when I have to sit on the edge of the bed to put my socks or slippers on. Outstanding.

My husband had been having a lot of back/neck problems and I cannot believe how much better he is feeling after a month on this bed. We never thought we'd find a mattress we both like but we're totally in love with this one. It is somehow firm enough AND soft enough. We've honestly slept on side, back and stomach on this mattress and all have been comfortable. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Couldn't be any happier.

So we just slept on the mattress for the first time in our new home. We typically wake up around 6:30 am with the kids jumping on us. Not this morning! Well the kids did jump on us, but they fell asleep as soon as they hit the bed! We as a family had one of the best sleeps we've had for years. Upgraded from an old 10 year spring mattress.

This is my first memory foam mattress and I am experiencing shoulder and back pain after the first three days of sleeping on it. My wife is also having lower back pain and has to take ibuprofen every morning, which she didn't take before changing to this memory foam mattress. We are giving it the 30 days to try to adapt, but it's not looking good and we will probably return it. I was hopeful that it was going to work for us, but everyone is different and it just wasn't for us. Thank You.

I'm a previous owner of both Casper and Cocoon By Sealy mattresses. I'm happy to say that the GhostBed isn't going anywhere anytime soon. The materials are of higher quality and density than those of its competitors and the sleep feel is fantastic. Supportive with a little sink and bounce that makes me wanna nap any chance I get. You won't be disappointed.

We traded in our super-plush, pillow-top bed that had my body outline totally visible and difficult to escape. It was giving both me and my wife bad back pain. Night #1 on the Ghostbed was firm compared to what we were used to, but we woke up refreshed and no back pain! We're about 30 days in and both my wife and I are getting great sleep again! It is on the firmer side, but it is still comfortable. The pillows are great!!!
