Ordered King Medium. This was my first hybrid bed in a box. I have had the mattress for 6ish months... i am a side sleeper. Female, 53, 165 pounds and 5'4. At first it was good...but now my hips and lower back are hurting me. BTW I take Aleve at night too. The mattress has nothing wrong with it...no sag or indent. Just not working for side sleeping.
Thanks for sharing your experience, GG, it sounds frustrating to deal with discomfort after initially liking your mattress. Since you're a side sleeper and have been experiencing hip and lower back pain after about six months, even though the mattress shows no visible sagging, it may be the firmness level that puts pressure on your hips. You can try a pillow between your legs for alignment, or you are eligible for a full refund with the Member's Mark 100% Satisfaction Guarantee. Great return policy, so go for it!
Wow! I was super worried about purchasing a bed online without trying it out. I have to say this is a great bed. we bought the firm version and it is perfect. It has all the features of a bed 30-40% more expensive. The firm bed is perfect for me (side sleeper, 200lbs, 6'5) The part that really sold me is Sam's return policy. They let you return at any time with no restrictions. I didn't return the bed because it was perfect, but I felt sure with my purchase!
A bit too soft for a Medium. Just a heads up!
Wife and I bought the Medium version of this in store. This mattress feels like a plush and you sink in pretty deep while sitting. It is comfy while laying but a little to soft for us. We ended up ordering the Firm version online the next day. Will be returingin the Medium version once the other comes. Hopefully the Firm will serve us better.
Terrible quality
I've been trying to buy a mattress for 3 years. I've bought memory foam and I hate it due to it making my hips hurt and I sink so far down into the bed I have to climb out. I thought this would be a good choice as it's hybrid. No. I got it in a box all rolled up. Opened it and let it expand. I bought the ultra plush thinking it would be perfect. It has a zip cover on it and there was tons of slack like it was missing 1/4 of the mattress. The springs were sticking out really bad. I slept on it two nights and it caused horrendous back pain. I happened to have another 3inch memory foam mattress from a camper van I sold. I forced that mattress into the zip cover and I have salvaged it. No way was I going to try to return this as I would have probably had to haul it over an hour to my nearest Sam's Club. But it was NOT worth the over 400$ I spent on it. I do not recommend.
Run and Hide
Avoid at all costs. Mattress started to break down within weeks. And now I am dealing with customer service and that is a useless and extremely exhausting experience. Return started on 2-9 and it is 2-20 and I am still waiting for a call from the carrier. Have called Sam's Club 5 times now and each time am told ATI will contact you in 24 to 72 hours. Do not buy a mattress from Sam's. Quality is garbage and customer service is even worse!!!!
1 year review
1 year review of the medium mattress by a 230lb side sleeper: Month 1: Foam was is so thick, its cloud like. Felt more like a plush than a medium. Months 2-3: Perfect. Slept great. Months 4-5: Noticing the foam layers are beginning to lose their loft. Month 6: Foam is starting to bottom out, I began to feel the coil spring layer on my side. Months 8-9: Mattress foam was no longer providing any support. I felt as if i was sleeping on a firm coil spring bed. I began thinking I'm going to need a new mattress soon.. 12 months: Mattress has been replaced and now in the towns dump where it belongs. I had high hopes for this mattress but the long term just isn't there.
Thank you for sharing such a detailed account of your experience over the past year, Leroy. We’re glad the mattress provided comfort in the early months, but we’re truly sorry to hear that the support diminished over time and ultimately didn’t meet your expectations. We take durability concerns very seriously, especially for sleepers who need consistent support. Your feedback helps us identify where improvements are needed in our foam and coil design. We’d appreciate the chance to learn more about your experience and explore options that may better suit your comfort needs so please contact Member Support at (888) 301-0332.
Very soft, in fact too soft
If you buy the Ultra Plush, expect a SUPER SOFT mattress. In fact it is so soft, it feels like it is actually hurting rather than helping since there is virtually no support. We like a plush mattress but this is nuts. When you lie on it, and we are not big people, from the side you can only see 80% of us. Medium firm is probably the best. The other issue is sheets staying on. The cover is incredibly slick and the sheets slip off with ease. You will need a zip-on mattress cover that has some friction to keep the sheets from slipping off the corners. All it takes is getting in the bed and a corner will come off. We have the right sized, deep pocket sheets (from Sams). If your weight is in the 100 to 120 pound range, you may not sink like a rock. An average adult (I weigh 190), I am in a hole. This one is going to being returned.
Hi Greg,
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with the Plush mattress. We’re truly sorry to hear that it didn’t meet your expectations. Comfort is highly subjective, and while some customers love the deep contouring feel of the Plush, we understand it may not be suitable for everyone—especially if you're looking for more support.

Your detailed feedback about the lack of support, sheet slippage, and the sinking feeling is incredibly helpful, and we’ve shared it with our product team. We always aim to match the right mattress to the right sleeper, and it sounds like a Medium Firm option may indeed be a better fit for your preferences and body type.

We're also sorry to hear about the trouble with your sheets staying in place. We’ve seen success with friction-based mattress protectors, just like you suggested, and we’ll consider including that tip in future materials.

We appreciate you giving it a try, and we’re glad you’re making use of our return policy—it’s there for exactly this reason. If you’d like help selecting a model that better suits your needs, our team would be happy to assist.

Warm regards
Buyer beware - this mattress is not firm.
If you are looking for a true firm mattress this is not the mattress for you. We’re purchased other memory foam mattresses from Sam’s and have always been very pleased. When it was time for a new mattress I was skeptical of the hybrid mattress but decided to give it a try since one of the options was “firm”. After letting the mattress expand to its full size I was initially pleased with the overall thickness of the mattress. Then I slept on it. I have always had a firm mattress. I would rate this version of this mattress as soft. I verified that my receipt and the box I received all stated that I ordered and received a firm mattress. Unfortunately this will likely wind up being a complete waste of my money and will likely end up in a landfill sooner than expected.
