The Skylight itself is pretty great. I love that it will create events for you if you email a PDF flyer to it. It makes adding school events easy. There are two major drawbacks for me. 1. It does not send an email alert to tagged people when an event has been added. 2. It does import a google calendar, and it can sync back to that calendar IF you select that when you create the event. After the calendar event is created, however, you cannot go back and make it reverse sync to google. So all of those PDF events I love to email don’t show up for my husband to overlay with his work google calendar.

I love the Skylight Calendar’s versatile functionality. It combines a family calendar, chore lists, meal plans, and photo display very elegantly and integrates our Apple calendar pretty well. The reason I took off 1 star is because; (1) some of the interfaces are limited (esp for inputs) and I wish the user had more/better control over changing the layout and format, and (2) it doesn’t integrate with Apple reminders and lists.

I was so excited about this product but I have had nothing but technology problems. I even hired a tech specialists to sync the calendars and it is not capable. I can't hide my all my appointments which blocks the kids schedules I got it for. I would LOVE a refund but the limited window passed once I exhausted every option to make it work.

This is already a game-changer in our family. Our kids don’t have phones (and won’t for a loooooooong time — #waittil8th) so having a digital schedule they can look at every day before they go to school gives them ownership over their schedule. The meal planning feature has been a surprising delight — the KIDS just drag and drop what they want for dinner every night and I plan our shopping list around that. No more whining about them not liking what’s for dinner! I love this calendar and I look forward to any updates they make to it. It feels pretty perfect for us but I love that updates happen automatically. I’ve already “influenced” six or seven friends to buy one!

As a mom, keeping track of the whole house's schedule. It's a lot to keep at the top of my already full mental load. With the Skylight, I enter it and forget it. The whole family has a constant, easily available agenda for the day, week, or month. I mentioned something I had on my agenda to my husband the other day that might conflict with something he was planning. He actually told me he referred to the Skylight before he started planning! It was mind blowing! No more constantly reminding the family what we have going on! My kids love the chore lists and checking off the completed tasks, which makes me love not having to remind about that too!

We have always had a family calendar in the kitchen for quick reference. It's nice that we don't have to copy each event onto a paper calendar like we did in the past. The grocery list is also a bonus - love having that available at the store. - I think we enjoy Skylight the most for the family images that get displayed with the screen saver. It is fun to come home from a family event and to see images from that trip greeting us when we open the door.

Love it! My 3 kids are all using it and I’m so excited to get less questions from them about “when is…” or “what time do I have….” Brilliant! The lists function is awesome for them to communicate groceries and other wants for shopping trips, and we can all finally keep track and remember who’s week it is to do kitchen duty! Yay!

I feel like it’s a big investment for not so streamlined accessibility! Seems like everything needs an extra step… syncing calendars and uploading photos seems like it’s a few generations behind compared to other digital photo frames I’ve used. Every time I use the app to find my shopping list it kicks me out with an “oops something went wrong” and I have to go through all the steps to see it. Overall, IMO the calendar seems to be a few updates behind its current competitors. I should’ve stuck with just my phone for staying organized… this just added another list to do to my already long lists of things that need to be completed during my day. Pencil and paper lists are a better choice

Could be 5 stars if it turned on and off as advertised. We set up the calendar to turn on at 7 am, and off at 7 pm. It does not turn itself off despite multiple attempts. We contacted the company to let them know, and thus far they have been unable to correct the issue. This results in us needing to manually turn it off each night.

I was desperate to create some organization in my home of 4 boys and myself. I work night shift and often can't be home to keep them all on task. I'm so thankful I can update from my phone however I'd suggest a few improvements to get 5 stars. It's a fantastic start and as long as they work to keep improving, I recommend it! I do wish it was a little larger. 17"?
