Great Overall Fitness Watch

My main goal for this watch was to track sleep, recovery, runs, bikes, and cardio workouts. It does the trick although I am still trying to figure out how to track my strength work outs. I do group classes, but the watch seems to be set up in a way that doesn't allow me just to have a general overview of a strength workout. The battery life is also pretty good - I charge it maybe once every 7-9 days. And it fully charges within 30 mins. One area I would like to see improvement is the Women's health section. It would be great to be able to track that.

I LOVE this watch. Highly recommend!

I bought this watch about a month ago after exchanging my Garmin Fenix 7 that I had purchased a few months before that. The vivoactive 5 is exactly what I was looking for. The Garmin Fenix 7 was too large and too complicated. The vivoactive 5 has all of the features I was looking for, very similarly to the Fenix 7, but is a lot smaller profile and easy to wear. I am so happy with this watch.

Nice features

Works well for my needs (60 year old, biking and hiking mostly). Informative features like sleep tracking and heart rate. I like that I can edit the activities and apps that I use the most. The battery doesn’t last as long as I was expecting, but it’s still good. I bought some replacement bands because I don’t like the silicone; switching them out is easy. The mileage tracking seems pretty accurate when I compare it to other tracking apps or known distances. I like that I was able to connect my Spotify account so I could listen to music. The Garmin Connect app is really nice. I’m pleased with my purchase

So far so good

After months of researching which brand of fitness tracker was right for me, I finally decided on Garmin. I wanted a device that was user friendly and informative in regards to my activity. The Vivoactive 5 was reasonably priced and had the features I was looking for. The battery life lasts for 4 to 5 days depending on usage which is ideal.

Happy with this purchase

Honestly, I had never heard of Garmin. My husband has been wanting one for a while, I bought him the Instinct 2. I have always worn a fitbit because they are cheaper and they worked for what I needed. I started looking at the Garmin vivoactive 5 because I love the color purple. I loved the watch face it started out with but have not been able to get it back since starting the account. That has been the only downfall. Otherwise, it is easy to use and has more info. The sensors pick up more specific and accurate data.

Overweight Non-Influencer Review :)

Where do I begin?? I bought this watch on a whim during Black Friday shopping. I had been on the fence about ditching my AppleWatch, the common things of the battery life is trash and I felt that during some of my workouts it just was not keeping up, so I figured what perfect day then Black Friday and being on sale to pull the trigger to join the Garmin Fam. LET ME TELL YOU!!!! Just do it... seriously you may question your life when you go to answer a phone call and it doesn't come through the watch, or to answer a text and you need to have your phone but that will be your REALITY check that you need to do less people pleasing and being available at every beckon call/text. As for the fitness side of things its very similar to the AppleWatch so it's not a whole lot to get use too. I do feel that it is more accurate for the work outs in a way. THE SLEEP TRACKER!!! I was never able to put the AppleWatch to that test because it would always be on 10% or dead by the time that it came to sleepy time so I took it off to charge it while I slept and never got to experience any of the capabilites in that sense, but the Garmin!! I feel like I could say this thing never dies (on a daily basis) lol. I can go 6 days without charging. I charged it Wednesday 12/11/24 and today is 12/13/24 and I still have 84% battery life left. I utilize the sleep tracker to its full extent!! I feel like I could literally write a book about the watch but I'll spare you with.... GO BUY THE WACTH!!!!

Love this watch!

I had the Garmin Vivoactive 4, but gave it to my son to get this. The Vivoactive 5 has much better battery life, a much better interface, and an easier to read screen for these old eyes. Additional features like the sleep score & improved analysis give me much better understanding of my sleep patterns and how they respond to daily activities. The battery life is much improved - I get several more days of battery life than I did with the previous generation. The change in interface, from widgets on separate screens to "glances" on one screen makes navigation so much easier and faster. It's really slick!

Like the Vivoactive 5

The Vivoactive 5 watch has some nice features. You can set a time to take a small nap ( I like this feature). Not sure yet of some of the features like HRV status, not sure what this is telling me. Also, the Recovery, not sure yet what this is telling me. It has been telling me how I am sleeping, which is apparently not so good. Not sure how to make it better, but I do like this watch, at least I know I am apparently not sleeping very well. I like that it has the time, day and date on the front watch. It does have a sleep mode and if you touch it you can see what time it is. You can press walk and it will time your walk and when you are done you can stop it and it will enter you walk for you. So far I do like this watch.

Puts Other Fitness Tracking behind the game

As a prior Fitbit owner, I switched to Garmin, as I was tired of replacing Fitbit devices annually, and I believe Google will eliminate them and move people to their watch. I am looking to Garmin to fill my tracking needs, eliminate constant replacements, and provide more data. At this point, they have exceeded my expectations. They provide more information and add more features. It is double the price, but having to replace a Fitbit every year, this Garmin tracker has to make it two years, and I am ahead.

Everything I wanted in a fitness watch

I was a fitbit fan for so long but one after another the bands broke. I was up to my fourth one. Then my research started for a replacement. I wanted something with an easy app, easy to use, great looking/stylish. I used the Garmin tool to select my Vivoactive 5. Very great choice!
