after about 18 months of owning and light use of this device, half of the screen suddenly darkens. it's disappointing because while it can be an easy fix to technicians, your average consumer may not have the appropriate tools available to them to make these repairs. @samsung you should consider replacing these models considering this is a common issue for consumers or provide some form of free support for them to make it right. stop using cheap leftover material as well, this is the reason why you're having this issue from the lack of quality that's put into the product.

I bought it around 4 years back. One year later it started to act slow. 2 years later when I press any key, it takes time to respond. Not to Samsung standards.

My 10 year old samsung 1080p TV is 1000 times better then this. Colors are sucks. Doesnt get bright at all. I thought this TV will replace my 10 year old 55 inch 1080p TV but no I went back to my old TV and gave my parents this TV even they hate it. There is no way to make the TV bright.

Bought this in November had it 1 month it went out Samsung sent a repair service out to get the tv they kept it about 3 weeks got it back my apps don't work and sometimes the remote doesn't work.....if I wanted a refurbished tv I would've bought one but no I paid money for what I thought was a good brand

This 55 inch Samsung UN55U6900 hands down better picture, features, all around technology, weight, usage cost and price. I'm no pro with technology at all mind you, roughly 10 years ago I purchased my first flat screen 1080 p hd tv 46inch Sony for roughly 1,200 (still works as it was designed) I can only see and hope to get that much time out of this Samsung. Let's see if it holds up but well worth the cyber shop deal for it. I Hope to never contact Samsung support for a warranty claim within the first year!

Terrible. The TV is four months old and: The remote sticks making it hard to switch channels. the TV regularly hangs up, requiring restarts. The apps load very slowly. There's a lag between the video and voice. My other TVs work great and this one is a lemon. Yes, I got a good price but I'm ready to throw it out and never by a Samwung again.

decent picture but some weird shadow effects that are undesirable. i lost the remote and cannot turn the tv on! have all these new designs done away with any buttons at all?! i have an app on my phone which will control the tv but it wont turn it on. the design has a major flaw. ui is laggy and freezes. will be returning.

I just bought this TV a few days ago, and while I admit, I haven't watched a ton and am barely learning the ins and outs of the remote and all the features, I will have to wait until I have more time to review. That being said, thus far, it seems very similar to my 10 year old Samsung, the only reason I purchased a new one was because I wanted something a little less bulky and easier for one person to move.

what happened samsung?!?!?! i bought this 70in tv in 2020 and in under 2 years the tv is dead. this by far is the quickest tv to stop working. i feel like samsung should fix this for all who have had issues with this horrible model of a tv. the power source is out and the repair would cost 50% of the original purchased price. we didn't use the tv frequently enough to be dead already. i have another samsung smart tv in my house that has been working perfectly for 6 years. save your money a buy another brand or model
