This parmesan taste good, but does not melt well. I made chicken alfredo and the cheese would not melt completely. I had small rice size bits in my sauce.

I bought it without looking closely expecting it to be similar to the Kirkland shredded Parmesan and boy was I wrong. It’s bland and just does not taste great. I’ve used it once and pretty bad compared to other Parmesan cheeses, not sure what I’ll do with the rest but buyer beware.

I've purchased this product before and always liked it. This time, it began to mold about than 2 months before the expiration date. It's not a storage issue - I always keep it tightly covered, don't put my hands into the jar, and it's always in the refrigerator. A real disappointment.

Please do not be mistaken by its supposed long shelf life. The best if used by date is so far away from the time this cheese develops mold. Three times in my house now, with two different fridges. We do not use our bare hands to grab this cheese and yet it develops mold after a few weeks. Stay away from this unless you are guaranteed to use this within a few weeks.

The flavor is great. I was going to buy the whole piece and shred it as I needed it, but I'm glad I decided on the already shredded in the container. The value and ease of use is awesome. I put it in omelets, wraps, salads, chili, pasta and so much more.

I tried to do the scan and go with this purchase. Even the associate in Sam's Club couldn't figure it out. I ended up not getting the additional. $5 promised for trying scan and go. It wouldn't work. Scan and go is a farce. The cheese is great and it was on sale.

This Parmesan cheese is about as good as you’re going to get with a cheese that spells itself “Parmesan” and not “Parmigiano”. It is buttery and flavorful. I think the individual strips or straws are too long. It would be better if they were 1/2 the length, but that’s not a deal breaker especially for the price.

I bought this instead of the finely, ground cheese. I put it on pasta and it works fine but it works better on chicken parm or recipes that want a cup for flavoring. Its sodium content is better which is what I was looking for all along. I like the jar, stores nicely in the frig, I like that its fresh, it appears its going to store for a long time.

Much better than the "powdered" parmesan cheese in terms of texture and taste, much easier than grating it myself. I use it more often than anyone else in my household, and I appreciate the convenience and the value as much as the taste. I usually split the container into 3 or 4 zippered bags and freeze them, since I have occasionally not used the complete container before it goes bad. I use it on salads, pizza, most pasta dishes, and sometimes add it to garlic toast and grilled cheese sandwiches. One of my favorite Sam's Club items!

Great fresh long shred product. We store ours in the freezer as there are just two of us in the household. The cheese is great right from the freezer as it stays dry and easy to just grab a handful as needed. It has great melting properties for homemade pizza. The flavor remains mild and as you would expect for a restaurant grade item.
