I purchased this to get a better value when purchasing Parmesan. I used this to make a garlic shrimp and lobster sauce, which I have made many times using various other brands of Parmesan. That being said, this cheese did not melt and just make clumps in the sauce. My sauce was not creamy at all due to the cheese just turning into clumps. Most likely will return unless I use for other recipes.

You have to use it fairly quickly. I have had two of these mold on me. I like the convenience of having it on hand but unless you have a large family or unless you’re using it for every meal, you likely won’t run through the jar in time. You are better off shredding your own.

Easy to measure for portion control. Great taste! Quick to use without the mess of grating it yourself. Makes awesome Parmesan chips when baked in oven. Not stinky like pecorino Romano cheese. In response to a post, I've been using this cheese for several years and I've never had any of the containers grow mold. Two adults use this so I'd say we go thru a container every few months.

We love bold flavor in cheeses, and found that in Frigo Shredded Parmesan, but thought Member's Mark might be equal to Frigo. It is not. MM Shredded Parmesan cheese has no cheese flavor at all and is overwhelmingly salty. In fact, there was a cluster of salt in the midst of the shredded cheese. They should suspend this product and bring back their BBQ chips!

Delicious Parmesan cheese. No preservatives. Good price too. I keep it in the freezer all the time since it defrosts so quickly. It lasts for a very long time. It will mold faster than cheese with preservatives if you leave it in the frig, put your hand inside, or leave it on the counter while you cook.

I have purchased this item a couple times over the last couple years. It has been great in the past, but the last two jars have molded before the expiration or use by date. I just opened the last jar I bought and less than a month later there is mold throughout. I am so sad and very unhappy.

I own a catering business and use this cheese all the time! I have never once found mold I am able to keep it in my refrigerator for a very long Maybe those that molded quickly the refrigerator's temperature was not high enough I don't understand it is the best Parmesan cheese my only thought is that the price went up considerably but because I've got so used to using it and my clients expected I will always continue to buy it

I found a red piece of plastic mixed inside with the cheese! It matched the red color/texture of the lid , yet my lid was still intact. Another lid must have broke at the factory. Poor quality control! I then contacted the company themselves and they didn't seem to care. Returned to Sam's Club for full refund.

Bought this thinking it was a good buy. NOT! Used this once for a pasta dish. A couple of weeks later went to use soe again the whole jar was green with mold. Threw out 90% of the product. Will never buybthis again, I don't understand all the 5 star reviews. I wouldn't recommend to my worse enemy.

I regularly buy this Parmesan cheese. I much prefer shredded Parmesan to the "ground to dust" versions out there. It's easier to cook with and tastes better. Member's Mark cheese offers a great value! (try buying Parmesan in the supermarket!) and is of high quality. Highly recommended!
