I like that this meat is vacuum packed with no air. This lets me keep them in my freezer for a few months. I hate that this meat is just completely full of water. When I try to cook just one pound of this in a pan, even on the highest heat, the meat ends up boiling in it's own water before it browns.

Was looking for ground sirloin to make a meatloaf. Didn’t see any in the meat section, so I found the butcher (I guess the person is still called a butcher even though he wasn’t butchering any livestock sorry, I digress). He shared with me the percentage of fat in my selection over the ground hamburger in the cellophane wrapped packages. It is perfect for meatloaf. No excess fat in the loaf pan after baking; it was moist and delicious.

Very disappointed in this. I purchased this to make burgers. I am picky where I buy meat from. I never bought meat from Sam's before and figured I'd give it a try as the price was really good and it was advertised as organic grass-fed beef. I needed 9 pounds for a larger picnic. I was a bit leery about it as I thought it looked very fatty through the packaging. It did not seem like organic grass-fed beef to me at all. It was oddly chewy and there was definitely some gristle in some of the bites of burger. I won't buy again.

Much, much better and fresher than the low quality lean ground beef available at the local supermarket and grocery stores. Love the packaging - easy to separate the packs by cutting with scissors. You can use some immediately, then freeze the rest. Have made everything I can think of with it - meat loaf, spagetti, chili, lasagna, etc.

I've been buying the 93/7 ground beef for 9 years and had absolutely no complaints until now. There is all of a sudden so much fat that I have to drain it off and then put it on several paper towels to soak it up for taco meat. Making a meatloaf has basically turned into boiling the loaf in it's own fat. I've called our meat department several times to ask why it's so bad now but can't get through so I'm done buying this really inferior product. Do better Sam's!

I'm convinced Americans are used to terrible quality after looking at all of these 5-star reviews. There are several things about this beef that is way OFF! For one, when cooked, this does not resemble the smell beef. It smells of rotting flesh!! The color is also verrry OFF! it turns a dull, gray color, rather than browning up as normal beef would. Finally, the taste i absolutely disgusting!!! It's not even resturant quality and I wouldn't feed it to any household animals. I don't want to say what I think it is, but i'm convinced this meat didn't come from a cow and will never buy it again! I've stopped eating processed meats and never eat at fast food places. I would implore everyone to stay away from this specific brand of beef. I've had the organic beef in the green package and everything is a night %26 day difference. The past few purchases this beef has had more ligaments in the mix and a higher fat content. We have to spit out pieces while eating. Feels like label is just slapped on. This is not 93% beef and have stopped buying. Went back to my local grocery store that isn't playing these label games.

So I eat grass fed beef and had some of the best from small farms in the Midwest that are grass fed AND grass finished. This beef is average and does not taste grass fed at all. Do yourself a favor and spend the money on real grass fed grass finished ground beef anywhere else. I don't recommend it.

We love using Quality Grass-fed Ground Beef for a lot of recipes. We still go for the other beef too, though, because we really need 80/20 but the Grass Fed only comes in 90/10 or 85/15. If there were 80/20 Grass Fed 10-lb chubbs, we'd be interested in buying those.
