I wanted a good basic refrigerator, and this satisfies. It works well, is designed well, and has a relatively small footprint for it's internal space. It's quiet, except for occasional whimpering noises (which are soft, but odd). My only disappointment is that it doesn't have a freezer light. I didn't realize internal lights weren't standard, so it wasn't a "feature" I was looking for, but it's pretty obvious that it's missing. Also a bit disappointing that the "optional" ice maker appears to be unavailable anywhere.

I am amazed by temperature control and evenness of distribution, flexibility of storage space, not to mention looks and how quiet it is. I knew when I first changed the hinges on the doors that this was a very well built appliance! I couldn't be happier. Why did I wait so long?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this refrigerator as a backup overflow. This refrigerator does not have all the bells and whistles of a more costly model. It works as we expected and we really love the lighting and the outside is very neat and modern looking. We are glad we bought it. We kept the box for our 3 year old grandchild to play in. He loved it.

I have received 2 of these units and sent both back. With both units the variable frequency compressor and its control unit trip the GFI circuit. LG customer support says the problem is with my electrical system so I had my electrician check everything out and there are no issues. New building codes require GFI for all circuits in the kitchen and garage so I can't use this model unless I want to put it in my living room.
