I love this TV. I bought this size because of space considerations, but I knew I'd be in good hands with Samsung. I know some have complained of the menu font size, but if you read the manual (which you do have to get online), you find out you can switch the contrast to make it white print on a black background and that you can bold the font and that you can make it larger as well. The on screen graphical user interface or GUI does take some getting used to as well as the correct remote button to use in certain cases, but I've found patience and a willingness to explore is helpful in those regards. I upgraded from a 2007 Sanyo 25 inch 720p and the difference is amazing! I am really pleased with my new TV and know that it'll just get better as I get used to it more!

got this tv for the bedroom/office area. read all the reviews and have not experienced any of the complaints mentioned. the picture is really sharp and crisp, the audio is spot on and i love that i can watch my amazon prime videos on the television.

I was bummed today when I got the TV home, set it up, and tried to download the Spectrum app and some others that I was interested in. I specifically saw in the other reviews that I could and that's why I got it. This particular model number (N5300) is not on the compatable model number for the apps that I wanted. So beware and check ahead of buying if this would be a problem for you. Otherwise, the TV seems to be nice and was easy to set up.

I have two other Samsung TV's that have been great, so I was excited to buy this unit for my bedroom TV. It was easy to set up and the picture was amazing. However, the sound was weak and the TV would turn itself off or cycle. I thought I was having cable problems and called my cable company for service. The tech checked everything and pointed back to the new TV. While he was there we couldn't get the TV to turn off. I returned it within three days of purchase and exchanged it for the same set, thinking I just got a lemon. I had the same problems with the new replacement. It would cycle or turn itself off. To get it to turn back on I would have to unplug it and plug it back in. Returned this and bought a new TV from a different manufacturer which has been excellent!

just what i expected -- easy to set up but the sound is very poor -- i did some research and found out that the poor sound is because this model is much thinner than my old one. my 2008 samsung series 5 (not a smart tv) stopped working properly -- but the sound was much, much better -- so, i am a bit disappointed

I've had this tv going on 3 years now. I’m not sure if there’s a difference between this and the 43” but I’m happy w my 32” and had to chime in on the low star reviews. The only reason I deducted a star is the brightness can be quirky. This TV adjust for ambient light and does a good job in general but can overcompensate, especially with getting dark. Not the biggest gripe but can be annoying once in a blue. The IR sensor is in a bad location under the tv, so if it’s sitting flat, nuff said. But I’ve only moving it around to sit outside, no biggie. The picture is great! It’s very clear and crisp. I’ve only used a few apps and like the live channel app. This is my work monitor so I don’t watch too much tv on it but I forget if I’m sitting at my desk if I do. This is my 4th Samsung and all of them are still working great, even the 12 y/o one. I would suggest it/buy another.

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) This TV is great for a small room. The picture is crystal clear and bright. The navigation is easy and it works well with TV shows apps. The sound volume that comes from the TV is more than enough, no need to purchase speakers.

Nice color, sound not so great. Have to unplug the tv every other day because it has a problem remembering the Wi-Fi. Sent tv in for repair when I first purchased and Samsung says they made a network replacement. Still does the exact same thing. And SmartThings is just as sad.

A friend said I really needed a smart tv and since I have a samsung phone which operates well, I thought this would be a good brand to try. The picture is absolutely wonderful!! The sound was very inconsistent until I finally got the remote working and was able to change the setting to Optimize. The browser is just plain terrible. I think you should add $20 to the price and include a usb keyboard/touchpad. One is coming Monday. I almost threw the whole thing out the window trying to type in url with the remote. Unnecessary frustration. Update the browser and the rating would go up and I would be able to recommend to a friend.

This tv was rated positively with Consumer Reports and works great in our bedroom. The only issues we have are there is no light on the remote to assist. You need to use a flashlight if you are in the dark or low light. The sleep time should be a in a much more convenient location without needing to arrive through a menu. When you are tired and are trying to set the timer or adjust the volume the remote lacks the ability to do either quickly. The tv is full of features. The quick access buttons on the remote for Netflix, Hulu and Prime are missing. This remote is more about being compact than user friendly. Yet again, the tv has a fantastic picture and sound quality. So if you can adapt quickly to the remote control you will love this tv.
