I understand the intent of creating a healthier product by removing artificial flavors and corn syrup but this is the worst tasting Pillsbury cookie dough I've ever eaten. I've eaten this same dough/cookies since I was a kid and now for the first time ever I took one bite of the dough and threw the entire thing in thrash, because it tasted so badly. I don't understand why the company feels the need to please the masses of health obsessed people, it's cookie dough, it's a little unhealthy by nature, no need for a recipe change. If you think it's unhealthy, don't eat it. It's a self problem that should've stayed on a individual level, instead of leading to a recipe change and a lot of unsatisfied customers. 

No eggs, heated flour recipe change makes for a bland artifical taste and appearance. The cookies top is like a puffed cake or muffin top in the oven, then sink a bit but still look like fake cookies. You don't get the same texture and mouth feel, there's some odd slight crispness but not the crunchy, chewy mouth feel of a real cook. The taste doesn't have that sparkle, it tastes artifical. You eat one bite and it's so underwhelming, unpleasant and disappointing. But on the other hand, throwing out the entire batch of ywo dozen cookies in the trash cuz I can't eat another bite saved me a lot of calories. Leaving a bad taste in my mouth, this definitely deters me from buying pillsbury again and even eating cookies at all. If you have tastebuds that function, I cannot recommend these cookies. Now, I'm going to go brush my teeth to get this out of my mouth. I might need a mint.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I loveee these cookies! The trick is to “undercook” them. If the directions say 8-10 minutes, take them out at 7-8 minutes exactly. (I can’t recall the exact time, so this is an example) They’ll look “undercooked” but you just gotta wait for them to cool down. Then you have the perfectly soft cookie. I love them with a glass of cold milk or some vanilla ice cream

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My kids and I love these cookies. The dough comes in a roll which is easy to slice right onto a cookie sheet. Bake per directions and enjoy warm chocolate chip cookies! Great taste, easy to make & no clean up other than the cookie tray. I keep a roll in my fridge & my kids make these (and eat them all) when they have friends over.

I used to love the old recipe for these cookies! I bought these, and did not know the cookies now have a new recipe. This one tastes absolutely awful, I might as well just buy chips ahoy! If I could have put zero stars, I would have. So disappointing. I hope they make the old cookies available for purchase. 

I only gave the cookie a star because I had to.  It doesn't deserve a star at all.  I am disappointed in the new recipe.  It is just awful.  There is no flavor, the cookie looks different and most importantly the taste is simple not there.  It has an God awful after taste.  This WAS my cookie of choice for my family.  Not anymore.  I beg you to bring back the old recipe or try again. 

We tried the slice and bake chocolate chip cookie dough and it’s delicious! I was surprised to see the bad reviews. They baked nicely, and tasted like made from scratch cookies! We’ll continue to make them over the upcoming holidays. Thumbs up Pillsbury!

We have been buying and making Pillsbury's chocolate chip cookies for years because they were great and easy to bake! Why did the powers that be decide to fix something that was not broken??? We do not like the taste or texture of the new recipe at all.
