Installed in the palace insulated dog house. It is currently 10 degrees -3 with wind chill maintains heat at 50 with no problem. I recommend setting up on WIFI for using the phone app to control and monitor temp.

I used this heater in my CRB Dog Palace for two seasons and it worked fine. I compared the heat settings with a wireless outdoor thermometer and it was within +/- 2°. The reason for the one star is that it only lasted two seasons.

The doghouse is really nice but I didn’t get any instructions or hardware to put it together.

This heater fits perfect in any of the insulated dog houses from this same manufacturer. And it heats the doghouse very well. But I think this heater is a 1st gen so needs improvement. The heater stays off after a power outage. There are no controls on the unit so you need the remote. If you lose the remote or it breaks the heater won't work. The lowest temperature you can set it to is 50deg. For our dogs that live outside it is too warm and they tend to want to sleep in our other dog houses. The remote doesn't work via RF so it has to point at the heater to work. Connecting to your home Wi-Fi network isn't an option for many people. So having an RF remote would be much better. I can say it is a high quality product but if I had researched better its limitations I would not have purchased it until a gen2 is released with improvements.

Heater works fine to warm dog house, but doesn’t have a timer so the unit stays on until you turn it off or the power fails. Also, the heater will not come back in when the power comes back in so forget about using a timer between the outlet and the heater plug. Really a stupid design to only be able to turn it on and off with the remote.

Works amazing, BUT a 2 star because the heater does not work without a remote. If you misplace the small remote or your fur baby used it as a chew toy, you have to buy a whole new heater because unit does not work without the remote :(

Can only be turned on by remote. Cannot use a smart timer in conjunction.
