Bought one last season and it kept my little house elf Dobby warm. I didn't have to worry about him as it kept his house a solid 70 degrees. He doesn't have a thick coat so I set it for a toasty temp. We had a few warmer days then it dropped off again. I'm glad I didn't have to mess with it as the heating unit only runs when it drops below the set temperature. I did notice a little bit of fur/straw debris on the screen in the back when I took it down for summer so I made sure to clean it off for next winter (all I had to do was blow it off).

Dog house heater works really well. Easy to adjust settings.

Using heater in huge insulated house for feral rescue cats. The humming noise frightened cats at first until they realized the comforting heat.

Installed in the palace insulated dog house. It is currently 10 degrees -3 with wind chill maintains heat at 50 with no problem. I recommend setting up on WIFI for using the phone app to control and monitor temp.

I can't really rate and review this adequately yet, have not installed it. This is not designed as a year-round installation, only during cold weather months. It's the month of May now. I have the solar-powered ventilation fan installed for warm weather months, may have to swap it out to install the central heater during cold weather months. This heater appears well built, including a conduit-protected power cord to prevent animal chew-through, apparently well thought out!

This heater is great! I definitely recommend it. I only gave it 4 stars because the only thing I don't care for is having to use the remote for operations. There is an off/on switch on the unit but if you unplug it or need to change temps, you must use the remote. Still, this is hands down much better than a hard piece of plastic that the dogs have to lie on to get warm like others have. I like that this unit hangs down from the top of the wall of the dog house through the little window. This is easy to install and allows soft bedding to be used since it's away from the heater.

First of all It works great. That being said, the fan runs constantly if the power is on. Why wouldn’t it cut off with the heating element. The only other downside is I have to use the remote to cut it on and off. The Wi-Fi will not connect due to the distance from my router. Overall, it does keep my two little buddy’s warm, and that’s good enough for me.

The heater seems to be doing ok in my non-insulated ASL Dog Palace. I think it’ll do better once I fill the hollow cavity with some type of insulation. However it does seem to keep the house about 20° warmer than ambient.

This product seems well constructed…. BUT…is lacking in some critical areas. The primary flaw is that unit runs constantly, even when it has reached the desired temperature. The heating element turns off but the fan keeps running. So, it is like turning off the heater and turning on a fan that constantly draws electricity. I wanted something that turned OFF. That’s the entire reason I spent the $$ on this product. Also the lowest temperature setting is 50 degrees. But it goes all the way up to 90! What dog needs 90 degrees? Even their manual says to not set it this high. It would have been better if the range could go lower, to about 40 degrees, and not so high. The other thing that was very concerning is that the vent where air is drawn in is on the back of the unit. So, it is only about a 1/2 inch off the wall, This doesn’t seem like nearly enough air flow, but that part I won’t know for sure because I am returning it.

I used this heater in my CRB Dog Palace for two seasons and it worked fine. I compared the heat settings with a wireless outdoor thermometer and it was within +/- 2°. The reason for the one star is that it only lasted two seasons.
