I know you all made the change awhile ago, but I'm still disgusted by the newer recipe. I've been buying the plastic trays (please don't change this recipe), because they taste like the old familiar Dinty Moore I know and love. The ingredients are different - no mushroom powder. Please re-evaluate your decision to change the recipe, listen to your customers (many of whom have been eating this since childhood!) and bring back the old classic!

The new Hearty Dinty Moore Beef Stew tastes terrible and can best compared to dog food. First time we tried it we looked at other and said "YUCK" in unison. First and last time. No more Hearty garbage for us! Thanks so much Hormel! The original Dinty Moore Beef Stew was delicious and my family ate it twice a week. Too bad companies don't know how to leave a good thing alone.

My childhood supper highlight and favorite food, no longer. My father trusted this product as a go-to for an otherwise picky son. It was always a hit, until now. As a man and a father I will not be sharing this tradition with my children or buying the stew as the quality has significantly declined. The delicious cubes of hearty beef have been replaced by crumbly ground up clumps of unappealing and unappetizing "meat"? Soy based product?. Mushroom powder has been added and why? It is very disappointing and generally sad, because this stew always provided a strong sense of nostalgia and comforts of home. I have found recently that the microwavable meal trays are still close if not the same as the original recipe?? Why this inconsistency? Why this change? I have lost trust in this product not knowing when it will be good but knowing I generally will be let down. Please return to the original other wise my money will go to competitive options.

I basically lived on Dinty Moore Beef Stew after high school, through college and as a single adult. Now my son is ten and while we were bacholering it last weekend, l thought I would introduce him to my old staple. While it was decent, it wasn't nearly as good as it was. The biggest bad change is the lack of those big chunks of meat I remember and 2ndly, the broth seems thinner. I'd pay more for it if you'd bring back the Dinty Moore I remember. Just calll it "Classic".

My husband loves this stew so I was glad to find multipacks at Sam's Club online. Unfortunately one of the cans was dented and has some dried stew on top so that makes me think it came from the manufacturer that way so that's disappointing. The rest of the cans were fine.

Didn't know Sam's Club sold this and always loved it. Had some sent to a grandson who also loves it. Just one problem is that one can came exploded.. I did clean off the other cans and threw that one away but the others were fine. and the expiration date was not near at all. I've been trying to purchase more but it's not available anymore.
