Why...

did you take a great tasting product and turn it into something I won't eat? I grew up car camping and there was nothing better than having Dinty Moore for supper on a piece of bread. I recently bought a couple of cans to take to my cabin and very disappointed when I opened the first one. It is now meatball stew and tastes nothing like I remember. Please change it back and raise the price if you have too.

Good Quick Meal Option

My retired father that lives with us loves these for lunch. I'm on a specific diet so I have to make him something different than me, or he'll eat one of these for lunch. It's simple, easy, and he says they taste good. It's nice that it is a complete meal. When you order by mail they make you get two cases, so we donated the other to a local food pantry.

Hearty Dinty Moore Beef Stew

The new Hearty Dinty Moore Beef Stew tastes terrible and can best compared to dog food. First time we tried it we looked at other and said "YUCK" in unison. First and last time. No more Hearty garbage for us! Thanks so much Hormel! The original Dinty Moore Beef Stew was delicious and my family ate it twice a week. Too bad companies don't know how to leave a good thing alone.

Where's the beef????

I've been eating Dinty Moore Beef Stew as long as I can remember and I can say I just had my last can. If you believe that small ground up pieces of something that's supposed to be meat can replace a chunk of beef you are sadly mistaken. Please change the picture on the can, there are no large chunks of beef in the stew.

Unfortunately they changed the recipe

I recall they changed the recipe a few years ago. I keep trying it and hoping I can get a can where they go back to their original recipe. But, it just doesn't happen. They used to have the meatball stew which was similar to the old recipe. But they now seem to have discontinued that as well. Really miss the old recipe with the thicker gravy and pieces of stew meat. Hope they bring it back someday.

Yuck!!

I have used Dinty Moore Beef Stew as a staple for years and years. A few years ago they changed the recipe and at first I didn't like it, but I grew accustomed to the change and continued eating it several nights per week (single person). Now they have changed it again and I won't even eat the remaining cans I have. It's terrible. It has the strangest flavor. I don't know what I will do now - but it will be something different because this new recipe is the worst ever. Good luck Hormel - don't know why you want to mess with a good thing. SMH

Something not right!

Supermarket had a promotion so I bought 2 20 Beef Stew Tins. I have eaten Dinty Moore for ever, I'm 70. There wasn't a single chunk of beef anywhere to be seen in this can! The stew appears to have been made with ground beef. Tasted fine but like the little old lady said in a old classic commercial, " Where's the beef?". I will do a contact ti let them know what I found.

Please come back with DM Classic Beef Stew

I basically lived on Dinty Moore Beef Stew after high school, through college and as a single adult. Now my son is ten and while we were bacholering it last weekend, l thought I would introduce him to my old staple. While it was decent, it wasn't nearly as good as it was. The biggest bad change is the lack of those big chunks of meat I remember and 2ndly, the broth seems thinner. I'd pay more for it if you'd bring back the Dinty Moore I remember. Just calll it "Classic".

Still as Good as I Remember

I don't remember where I got this casserole recipe but I love it and so does my family. Use 1 large can of Dinty Moore Stew, 1cup of sour cream, 1/2 bag of cooked wide egg noodles and salt&pepper to taste. In a bowl mix the can of stew with the sour cream, blend well. Add the cooked noodles and mix together. Pour into a buttered casserole dish. Bake at 350 for 20-30mins, til bubbling. Add some crumbled bacon if you wish. I haven't found much of a difference in taste. Still the best tasting stew from a can. I'll be making this recipe for dinner tomorrow night. :)

I love this stew!

Dinty Moore beef stew got my attention when I ate the product last night. I've tasted other beef stews before thinking that this one would be as bland as the rest. I was glad that I was so wrong. This stew has the perfect amount of beef, carrots, and potato's to satisfy anyone's hunger. And it tastes fantastic!
