[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Summer is not the best time but it is a classic craving from a can I could not resist. I promised a review of this item , so here it is. We all pretty much grew up having once tried this product, not much is needed other than a can opener, heat and a spoon. I personally like a slice of buttered bread to accompany this stew. The potatoes, carrots all held their flavor. The meat was soft and tender, and the gravy was a perfect mix. Sodium is a bit high, but high but all i rember was cleaning the bottom of the bowl with that slice of bread.

This former staple brand has declined in popularity for good reason: it has declined in taste and quality. Just look into a newly opened can of Dinty Moore Beef Stew and you'll see a layer of white fat. My advice: pick it out before heating it up. There doesn't appear to be much broth, but it forms as you cook it. The broth is salty. The mixture is mostly firm and flavorful potato chunks. The few carrot rounds are mushy and bland. Inexcusably, Dinty Moore beef was skimpy chunks of unsavory meat akin to cheap Salisbury steak frozen dinners. Bottom line: you're paying high dollar for potatoes and gravy.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have not tried Dinty Moore in about 20yrs so I was very excited to try DINTY MOORE HEARTY MEALS Beef Stew. First thing I did was look at the ingredients..there are no preservatives which I was very pleased with..can has an easy pop top so no fumbling with a can opener so even a great item to keep in stock for weather emergency or camping trip. I am also one that is always on the go and a quick no mess meal gets points. I scooped my serving into my bowl and I noticed nice chunks of beef..sliced carrot and potato and the gravy was nice and thick..I microwaved for 1 minute & half (time may vary) and it was piping hot..The stew was savory just like my Grandma's used to make.. the carrots and potato had bite not mushy. I have tried other beef stews but DINTY MOORE HEARTY MEALS Beef Stew has won me over. Also on the back of can is easy to read cooking instructions and a recipe. I highly recommend this product and I received a free sample in exchange for my honest opinion.

It has big meaty beef stew pieces in it and several big pieces of potatoes and a few carrots to. its so easy to add something to it if you would like but its very filling by itself. I have been eating this stuff for years and have even served it up many times with lots of compliments. i have recommended this stuff so many i cant even count them. Great main meal.

Bought a can for my grandson and was so disappointed. Potatoes were hard. Almost no carrots and it was not the same roasted beef but little hamburgers. I grew up on Dinty Moore beef stew and it was yummy. Did you just buy the name and not the recipe????

The weather had been hot, but a cold front moved though and beef stew sounded really good. i fixed the stew in a pot on the stove and made some biscuits to go along with the stew. There was no need to add any seasoning, the stew was delicious right out of the can. I have loved this product all my life, I will continue to buy Dinty Moore Beef Stew.

It is absolutely perfect for lunch or dinner on a cold, fall day, or coming in after shoveling tons of snow! Easy to prepare, it's hard to believe you get.nice chunky pieces of potatoes, carrots, and meat. The seasoning is perfect for my taste.. No need to add salt or pepper. I highly recommend this product in the sampling box. Stock up! You'll be happy you did.
