[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was home alone and needed to eat something and there weren't any leftovers. So, I cracked open Dinty Moore. The Dinty Moore Beef Stew tastes like my own beef stew. The potatoes are not overdone and there's a good balance between all of the ingredients. The beef does not stay together in big chunks as the photo on the can suggests and it's a couple shakes too salty.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Dinty Moore is a great comfort food for the winter months. My family enjoys it with grilled cheese sandwiches. It has a rich taste and fairly thick consistency. I wish they used stew meat instead of hamburger however.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product as a sample to try and as usual I was not disappointed. I have been eating this this stew for a long time. It has the perfect seasoning, tender beef and potatoes. I know some people use it in recipes but I can't help but always eat it straight out the can heated up.

This is not anything i would ever buy again. The meat? Is a ground something that's supposed to look like beef but .....the flavor is the same no matter what you are eating, carrots, potatoes gravy taste all the same. This is more like dog food than food for people. Campbell's chunky beef soups are way better. Not so sure why they call it chunks of beef. Also it is very mushy. If you are used to homemade beef stew you will be very disappointed in this. I'm taking it back.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I put the beef stew in a bowl and microwaved. I ate it as a complete meal for myself. It was very filling, tasty and a complete meal in one sitting. I can also take this to work for lunch. It would be an easy meal to transport.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like to keep a few of these shelf stable meals on hand in case of emergency (up here in the north east is usually a snow emergency), but occasionally they also serve the "I'm too tired to cook" evening as well. They cook in 2 min or less depending on your microwave, and they have a good meat to veggy ratio. All in all, pretty good for canned stew. I recommend keeping a loaf of Italian/French bread handy, helps make 1 can a meal.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] i just heated it up and added a little more seasons (after all i am from louisiana where we had a little food to our seasons) the stew had plenty of meat and potatoes and gravy. it tasted great and a can of it was more than i could eat. just take it out of the can and pot in micowave a couple of minutes and it is ready.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Dinty Moore Hearty Meals Beef Stew is an excellent tasting meal in a can. If you are looking for a midday meal, meal supplement or quick eats, this is the product. Great beef and vegetable flavor, and it is quite hearty, like the label says.

As I loved this product for its taste and texture I did not like it that the potatoes were not cooked as much as I would have liked them to be. Over all I still would recommend this product just for the fact that it is loaded with carrots, potatoes and meat plus the sauce is amazing

I grew up in the mid 70's and 80's and Dinty Moore was the absolute best...as have become more health conscious throughout the years; I and my wife moved away from processed foods, and the foods laden with sodium, msg, etc... but while browsing thru the aisle of my hometown grocery store while visiting (as I had since moved away from the small town I grew up in) I ran across this memorable, tasty reminder of my youth.. big mistake, huge! I have never tasted anything as horrible as this gravy train of horrificiness, 4 cans I bought to receive a grand total of 11 carrot pieces, 5 potatoes, and worst of all 3 pieces of what looked like previously chewed meat that was spit in the can.. I was so hurt, as I had championed my decision to buy this mess to my as very health conscious, wife and children. Hormel if this is your way of saving a few cents please stop, you are damaging a beloved brand that will ultimately cost you more than you are saving. I simply can't believe that this is the conclusion that you came to for something that was soooo good... with all my hatred a former customer! P.S. I left 1 star because there is no option for less..Facts!
