Very pleased with the washer overall, however, the design on the transport handle is terrible, unless you're a hobbit. The thing is short, really short. Would've made more sense to put it on the wheel side to allow the use of leverage. Also, the wand storage point is useless and the hose storage needs a bungee to make it work.

The Honda engine is a good engine start on the first pull most of the time if not the second pull. The 3300 PSI pump works well. In a thermal valve is a good addition so if it gets hot and lets the hot water out so you don't wreck your pump. The machine is short and compact so it'll fit inside the back of a Jeep or any small SUV with ease. My only complaint is the length of the wond, needs to be longer so I'll purchase that separately. I bought this unit for two reasons, Honda engine and power. I can not stress that in the hands of an inexperienced user the probability of damaging something is high. At 4200 psi with 4.0 gpm this unit has some serious kick, you will get a work out after an hour of use. Proper care and periodic maintenance and this pressure washer will last for years.........again proper upkeep. If you got one and it did not work right out of the box more likely it was damaged during transport. Any review from someone down playing this units capabilities or its quality is coming from and average user and not professional.

I bought this machine just under a month ago and I could have not been any more impressed. My machine did come with two scratches one on the pump and the other by the pump oil cap but not a big deal (probably just from shipping). I have used it twice already probably running about 5 hours total. Had the pressure gauge set in the middle and the throttle only up to half way just to ensure break in period was smooth and even with that it was more than capable with what I needed it to do. The wand and hose with the quick connects were definitely a huge upgrade and super simple. Overall I do not think anybody could go wrong with this. From the once a year user as a homeowner or even a business owner could get some serious work done with this machine.

I did a lot of research before buying this pressure washer. It does a great job and seems to be as sturdy a machine as advertised. I purchased a surface cleaner (not included) with the machine, that cut my work time by more than half. I am very happy with the way this machine did the job.

I read some reviews, both positive and negative Saw on the negative how poorly packed the product arrived. Did not have that problem AT ALL! I must not be the only one reading them. Great job packing team! Everything is so nice when new I assembled the unit very easily I live in NorCal, so I purchased some ethanol shield to protect my investment (why not?, it’s just $$$ on top of the still high price of Eco friendly fuel, right?) It fired up first pull, nice!! I ran it and it does a great job! Makes ya not wanna put it down The thing started vibrating pretty loudly, so I quit for that day and after it cooled, I checked it out Apparently someone forgot to tighten the flare nuts on two of the motor mounts. 43 cents later, I had a nice running pressure washer, and have had ever since Thanks Simpson

I just used this washer for the first time through the weekend. It started on the second pull the first time and on the first pull every other time. My last pressure washer was a 3200psi and it didn't compare to this one. Very strong running motor and a great pump. I've only used it for one weekend so far but if it keeps performing like it has, I'll be 100% satisfied with my decision to spend a little extra on this one. I've read many bad reviews on this washer but all I can figure is that those people didn't read all of the do's and don't s in the instructions before operating. I learned a lot about pressure washers just by doing the required reading before touching the unit. If you follow the requirements, you'll be very happy with this unit.

Plenty of power from washing the car to cleaning heavy stains on concrete. PS3228-S is easy to start, well built, triplex pump, different nozzles, soap injection and a reliable engine. The only negative feedback is the hose. I really hate the hose: its short and extremely stiff.

The unit has great power. The specs indicate the unit has pneumatic tires. It has solid tires which adds to its inability to absorb its own vibrations and “walks” across pavement. I plan to take this up with Simpson and HD. Vibration isolation pads or mounts should be incorporated into this design.

I probably only have 20 hours on this machine, but it was worked flawlessly and has tackled everything I've thrown at it - siding, concrete, marine, and auto. The quick change fittings are easy to use and prefer them to any kind of rotating "select-o-stream" wand. Its a compact powerhouse with a good pump... Im expecting many years of service from it. My only complaint is that it does not have a detergent reservoir incorporated into its design.
