First time using this washer with surface cleaner on our concrete driveway, it was a breeze to use. I was able to clean several years of mold and dirt off our driveway. Washer started easy and is a solid built unit. Has plenty of power for our residential use.

First the product works great, actually better then expected. We had two issue with the unit when it arrived. Contacted Customer support and received an almost immediate response from Don Hatton their National Service Manager. Issues resolved with full satisfaction. Likely the best corporate customer service I've ever experienced.

I purchased this unit recently and used it for a couple days. It is very powerful and exceeded my expectations. The engine started with a couple pulls and I had no operational issues. The hose is very heavy duty but is somewhat cumbersome to use. The wand was great and nozzles met my expectations. The one area of improvement could be the hose.

Had shipped to home. Arrived with no damage. Read instructions, added engine oil provided in pouch, checked pump oil level, added gas, then connected water supply to pump, then purged air from pump & HP line. Then started Honda engine with no issues. Definitely has force to clean Trex decking & garage doors, hand-railing, and gutters!!

Bought Simpson PowerShot based on engine, pump brand and price point. First Simpson product. Used for ~6 hours and had no issues. Only complaints are the wand holster is a joke, and the hose is extra stiff and difficult to manage under pressure. Additionally it would nice if the fuel line to the carburetor was easier to access so draining the fuel tank would be easy. Don't like having fuel sit for long periods of time in tanks. Other than, so far so good

I had no previous expereince with pressure washers. The purchase of the PS60843 was my first experience. The packaging was good, the labeling and literature was good. I felt the literature could have discussed/identified the pressure offloader and the thermal offloader some more. After about 2 hours of using the unit, water started leaking out from the pressure offloader valve (I think it is). This is the brass spring loaded valve pointing downwards on the water output. I thought this is how the valve should operate, but the leak was costant, even when the engine was shut off. The leak caused the engine to pulse when the trigger was not depressed. I then checked the valve and it needed tightening. This should have been tightened at the factory and should not have come loose after 2 hours of use. However, this was a minor inconvenience. The engine starts well, if you turn down the pressure regulator to the lowest, and trigger the wand to release pressure. If the engine did not start after two firm pulls, depress the wand trigger again to release the pressure. I would like to have seen a simple fuel level indicator. Currently you have to remove fuel filter from the fuel tank and look inside. This should be fairly easy, but the filter has no real way to be held on too and lifted out without getting jammed against the surfaces of the tank surrounding it. Removing the filter is actually a very delicate and somewhat timely exercise. I made a wire hook to lift the filter out. It is simple and works, but another factory supplied method would have been nice.Perhaps a transparent fuel hose from the tank would be a good indicator. The lowest pressure I was able to get is 2000 PSI. I ran the unit at 3500PSI, but I could have gotten 4,000 or more. I did not want to max out the unit as it is new....break it in slowly. I am yet to play with adjusting the engine trottle using the supplied lever, and see if the pressure would decrease. I have not used the unit since, but will in a few days time. I cannot comment on reliability as yet, but sure hope this unit is reliable....very reliable. Overall, as of now, I believe this is an excellent unit. I am so far pleased with it. Would I purchase it again, yes.

Used for a total of 2 hours until dramatic pump failure with water spraying everywhere! Had to take whole sprayer to service center 20 miles away. Been there for a week and still no news about warranty repair. Despite this (I assume I was just unlucky) it is an incredibly powerful machine and is a fantastic cleaner.

This 4400 psi unit has incredible power. After about 4 uses, something inside the spray gun failed causing it to spray continuously even when the trigger wasn’t being pulled. It was still within the 90 day accessory warranty, so they quickly sent out a replacement (I had it within 3 days of calling). I only wish the accessory warranty was a bit longer. Had this happened just two weeks further out, it would have technically been out of warranty.

I'm beyond pleased with the performance and value of the PS4240 I recently purchased. The level of quality of the pump and the Honda engine is outstanding. The adjustable regulator is a great feature - and a key reason I bought this unit. I think Simpson should make more of a point that this feature exists, it does not receive adequate mention in your online info. I'm looking forward to years of service from this unit. I also purchased the SIMPSON Universal 15 Inch Surface Scrubber when I ordered the washer. This is an incredible accessory and a must-have for floors and driveways! Keep up the good work Simpson!

Great Product. Quieter and more powerful than I thought it would be. Has a good solid feel without being too heavy to move around and put in the vehicle. Amazingly low fuel consumption. Pump is rock solid, and the warranty makes it even sweeter. Get a longer hose and you'll be about as happy as one can be while cleaning.
