Need to be aware that it takes a fair amount of pressure with hand as you work to both scrub and then extract the dirty water. Best for small areas and would be uncomfortable for anyone with arthritis of the hands and shoulders.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this to clean three used chairs that I purchased. I bought it because it is small and lightweight for a senior citizen. It worked very well and would purchase again. The only con was the hose is too short that's why I took off one star.

After many years of service, my old unit failed. I was pleased with the design changes and, as always, the performance! I like how the old model's attachments, some life left in them still, click right onto the new model. I have Bissell products in service all over our house. I'm really happy that I can order directly from Bissell.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Although Bissell makes great vacuums, the suction on this carpet cleaner is decidedly lacking. The spray and scrub aspects are fine but even after reading the troubleshooting portion of the manual and reseating the dirty water container, I was only able to vacuum about 1/4" of dirty water from an entire container of cleaning water, on my knees and using two hands to hold the head firmly against the carpet and drawing it back slowly as directed. I ended up using a space heater and dehumidifier to dry a small area rug.

The heat went out in my old machine but I needed one for our cabin so I bought a brand new one for my main home. These machines are a life (and carpet!) saver when it comes to pet messes.

I am going to experiment with making my own detergent, however, as the one Bissell sells is pretty expensive.

I am a senior in a fairly small unit, and these qualities are important to me There is just one thing I have not figured out yet, and that is whether I am.getting all the solution out of the rug. Used it on our couch once and you can already see the improvements. This portable cleaner was easy to use when following the directions and convenient. We will try it on our truck's seats next.
