The extra sharp was really quite mild and the cheese was too soft. Usually an extra sharp cheddar has a pungent taste and a firm texture. This had the texture of American cheese and very little flavor. Would not buy again.

CABOT has Good cheese. This cheese has great flavor and the sharpness is there. So buy a package of this extra sharp cheese with confidence. You won't be disappointed!!!!

I smoke it. This is the best cheese for smoking. After a 6 hour smoke I wrap it and vacuum seal it and age in the refrigerator for one month or longer. It is yummy. My entire family loves it.

last 2 times i purchased was more real mild. I have been buying this for a while and was always good. Taste like they have changed it and I ended up throwing half of the last package away.

Cabot Extra Sharp Cheese is the best! Why is it not available at ALL Sam's Clubs? Our local Sam's only has the "Seriously Sharp" Cabot Cheese, which is not seriously sharp at all! We want "Cabot Extra Sharp" at all Sam's Clubs! At least at our local store on Gatlin in Port St Lucie!

Lactose free and nobody can tell, the flavor is excellent, best on crackers, baked potatoes, casserole, hamburger, hotdogs, tossed salads, grill cheese sandwiches, you can put it on anything you put regular cheese on and it's loved by everyone and those friends of yours that are lactose free can enjoy it also and not be left out. That's all I buy now.

We buy this product quit often ,but this time we were very disappointed, flavour was not as good as usualy and block looked liked it had been cut to narrow so they added a thin slab all along side of cheese that when you cut cheese fell away from your slice .other than that usualy a excellent product .
