After adding the Zinus boxspring, our mattress felt much more firm and supported. Besides putting us at the right height so our pillows would not get wedged between the mattress and headboard, we slept much better than just with the mattress by itself. It was fairly easy to unfold and get onto bed frame with one person.

As soon as I opened the box spring mattress I could smell a funky odor. I aired the box spring out in the garage thinking the smell had gone away. Once I brought it upstairs my 3 year old daughter was so excited for her “big bed”. I put the bed in her room and let her sleep on it. By the morning her room had the smell of a musty or moldy smell. She also had developed some type of cough within this time. I called customer service to tell them what was going on with the box spring. They had told me that unfortunately they will just have to investigate the purchase. Investigate. Like I was lying about the smell and the health of my child. I asked them to please come pick up the mattress and box spring. The customer service agent told me someone will just have to get back to me. All I wanted was a new one. Still no phone call, reply or answer. So now I have a twin bed I paid $300 for that I can’t do anything with and I have to buy something new. On top of it go the the dr for this mysterious cough my daughter now has. Overall not happy with the way sams club is going about the whole situation and I have never had a problem beforehand with them. And as a business owner we purchase all of our supplies from there. Not impressed.

It goes together easy but The stringers go only across and a true box spring has 4 inch squares across the whole top that the mattress sits on. With this you have to put 1/2 plywood on top of it to hold the mattress correctly. This is only good to put a conventional box spring on it.

Every box spring should be made like this. The old-style one-piece box springs are garbage compared to this one, especially if you have an L-shaped stair, winder, or any other spatial challenge. I just bought this for my older daugther's room, and though my younger daughter has a relatively new box spring (under a Zinus mattress) I'm even considering replacing her box spring since it's ridiculously loud (just getting in & out it squeaks something fierce). If you have any sort of curve in your layout or tight space this box spring will outperform the conventional styles we used to settle for- if you don't have these challenges, get this anyway as it will still make your life easier than dealing with the traditional behemoth.

I bought the 4" folding box springs so that I could lift my 14" combo mattress out of the sleigh bed well. Before, I couldn't make the bed very well. It's perfect, just high enough. I was worried that when it came out of the box & plastic, that it would snap open, not constructed that way. It gently unfolds (you have to push it apart) and then you zip up the cover. I did a queen size all by myself. I have a bunkie board underneath it, so I actually put the folded box springs on that before I opened it.

I was especially surprised that both split-king box springs came in one box. The bed frame was easy to put together and the box springs were even easier to unfold. I find myself going to bed early every night now that I have my new bed. Thank you Zinus!

Initially I was a little cautious about the claims being made but upon receiving and setting up, it is just as advertised and more. Setup was beyond simple and because the foundation is now so sturdy, the feel of our bed has improved. Needless to say I will recommend and will purchase should the need arise again.

Never could have imagined how wonderful my new Zenus bed box spring and bed frame are but the main thing is I sleep pardon the expression like a baby and that doesn't mean I wake up and cry a lot! Husband falls asleep in 2 seconds. I'm still a little restless, just because I tend to think about why we waited so long. All I want to do is be in my bed and on the weekends i make time to get a nap in. Earlier I told my coworkers, "I think my mattress is making me lazy because I just want to be wrapped up in the comfort." My lower back pain is gone! Yay! We will definitely be purchasing this brand for our kiddos soon. Thanks Zinus for an Amazing quality product at an outstanding affordable price. Totally impressed with the design of this box springs. It is well made and an ingenious idea for the folding mechanism. The covering for the frame is soft and well made. The overall structure is strong and gives the mattress excellent support. I ordered this for a guest bedroom but will consider ordering one for my bedroom. Highly recommend. Shipping box was easy to handle.
