Bonded leather doesn't last

I bought this chair a year ago and it is a good price and comfortable. THe problem is the bonded leather splits and the seat and arms look awful. THe foam in the seat is starting to crumble now that it is exposed to wear from clothing. NOT a good buy

Horrible experience

Have owned this chair for all of 3 months and the bolt that holds the arm on has already snapped and its inside the bezel to where I cannot get access to it to pull it out. This prevents being able to recline backwards as the arms are what connect the top to the bottom $200 down the drain for a horrible chair.

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY

Bought this thing in January. Six months later, the right arm separated from the back, rendering the chair useless. Called the True Innovations toll free number and found myself buried in a long line for 22 callers. After nearly 10 minutes, I was still 19th in line. Emailed my receipt and a picture to the customer support email address. Have not heard one peep. Sam's would do well to discontinue this item and stop doing business with True Innovations. They will ruin the market for this type of furniture with poor engineering and poor customer service.

Comfortable chair but it will not last.

La-Z-*Boy is not the quality it use to be. They now use bonded leather and not solid leather. Bonded leather is scraps of leather melted down (how I don't know) and then poured on top of a piece of cloth. In due time, the bonded leather starts to peel. Warranty, like their recliners and sofas, will not cover this. See face Book page, La-Z-Boy furniture sucks

Back Locking Pins are Horrible

My wife purchased this chair yesterday 122019 as a Christmas present. It is a beautiful chair and seams comfortable. However, the back of the chair has two pins to lay the back down on the seat. After ONE DAY, the back does not lock in place and makes a popping sound when you lean forward or back in the chair. The pins are smaller than the hole, so it's tearing up the aluminum on the arms. This is a horrible design. Why would you need to lay the seat back down anyway? Chair is rated at 350lb. I'm only 230lb, so I can only imagine what a bigger guy would do to this chair. I do not recommend this chair and will be returning. Too bad to. It seams comfortable and has a great warranty. I just don't want to have the hassle of another noisy chair!!!

Company bot responding to survey comments?

Weigh 230 against the 350 lbs weight cap and the cylinder is done after 10 months. It is reasonable to expect to have to replace this before 1 year old? And I really like how all the company responses are nearly identical - maybe a bot. Sign of the times, eh.

More like 10 Month warranty, not worth 1 star

I bought this on 4/9/2020, today the chair totally failed! I mean snapped off and I toppled over! Spent 30 minutes waiting on the phone only to get disconnected. The armrests were beginning to crack too. I'll let the picture explain. I weigh 275 lbs, so under the limit. ***DO NOT BUY***

Poor Design. Poor Warranty Support

Save yourself some headache and do not buy this chair. It is just a bad design with a warranty that will not be honored. The chair back is 'secured' to each arm by a spring-loaded metal peg, both which got stuck and failed within 6 months. It took several attempts to connect to someone about warranty and they rejected the warranty request anyway. I also tried talking to the Sam's Manager thinking they could help...he said he could not. One of the most disappointing purchases I have ever made.

Poorly made

As other people have written. Faulty shocks, chair leans right, push button lock system is a joke and has torn out on both sides. Lazyboy will not honor 10yr warranty except for the air shock.. which still leaves the chair useless! This chair isn't even two years old!

Excellent chair but..

This chair was great. It was comfortable, tall enough and sleek. A few days after using it, I noticed it started to lean to the right. I called the manufacturer regarding the issue and they informed me it would take 4-6 weeks for replacement parts. I ended up returning the chair. I wish it would have worked out.
