I've bought this mattress before and had no issues. However with my recent mattress order, it came vacuumed sealed as usual except the mattress was folded in half before being rolled and vacuum-sealed. I did everything as instructed but the mattress was left with a huge elevated lump where the mattress was folded and the edges were collapsed... waiting for my replacement and see if it has the same issue

Bought two of these for bunk beds, the kids were sleeping on the ones that came with the set and the older one was complaining about it being uncomfortable. Upon setting the beds up they were rather high for the top bunk but that's ok i'll modify the bunk and put a higher bar support if I have to. Anyway, I set up the beds and last night i decided to try it out... I laid down and wasn't even really that tired but wow, closed my eyes for a few mins and actually passed out! This thing is comfortable, and has an amazing firmness I didn't think it would have seeing as how it was packaged. Woke up 5 hours later with no pains and felt refreshed. There is a little new bed smell that will clear out in a day, but it's a small price to pay for the quality of the bed. Ordered this after I realized that I couldn't get a full sized mattress into my suv to get it home from my local Sam's. For the same price this one was delivered! And, yes, the box is large (about 4' x 3' x 3'), and heavy (use a handcart)... but unpacking was pretty simple. Hint... keep it boxed (or at least rolled up tight) until you have it where you want it. Once you allow air in, it's just like moving any other mattress. My daughter loves it... and the thickness and comfort are on par with my $$$ non-vacuum packed one!

I was skeptical at first to purchase a bed online and for the price. I figured I would get a few nights of good sleep than give it to one of my sons. The bed arrived via fed ex. It was not in a box, it was rolled up with protecting covering. My son rolled it up the stairs. We began to cut the tape and packaging off of the bed. We lifted it on top of my queen box spring I already had. I've slept on this bed for 3 nights now. I have severe back pain at times, whereas, I can barely walk in the morning. This bed is very firm. I'm 5"9 and approximately 268 lbs. I haven't had a good nights sleep since I can remember. The value and expedite shipping was well worth purchasing this bed. I can't smile enough when I wake up, and my back is not hurting. The bed is so firm and you don't feel the coils to your back. I do less tossing and turning now. If you have back issues and looking for a good mattress I highly recommend this. You won't be sorry. It's a decent bed without a whole lot of money. When I re-do my guest room, I will be trading this in for a king size.

Not to firm but FIRM, not mushy. Comes in a box, put it on the box spring wheren it will be before you cut the cloth off it. I tiwll quickly expand. It is both comfortable and excellent to sleep on. I like a more firm than mushy bed. This was a great deal for us. We use in a guest bedroom and have had nothing but compliments on its comfort.

I ordered this product for a Hide-a-Bed that I built for guests to use. The HaB does not have a box spring. I was surprised by the small package the product was shipped in(FedEx). The mattress is greatly compressed/vacuum packed/folded then shipped in a much smaller box. Be careful to open the box in an area as large as the mattress size. Once the vacuum package is perforated and removed it wil take two full days for the mattress to assume its full size and firmness. I like how the mattress feels. Guests have mentioned how comfortable it is. I an very pleased with the purchase. It does not require a box spring. The only downside is that all mattresses were made locally providing local jobs. With this technology mattresses can now be shipped from china at reasonable cost.

Quality has changed on the manufacturing of this mattress. We purchased this same mattress 6 years ago for our guest bedroom. We love the mattress, and everyone who has slept on it agreed. We needed to replace the King in our master bedroom, so we ordered the same one. Unfortunately, this is not even similar to what we previously purchased. This mattress is flimsy, did not expand, and it is weak. The sleep surface is not firm due to what seems to be missing inside. Apparently the standards at Zinus have changed along with the manufacturing of the mattress. This experience was so disappointing, Sams Club really should reconsider selling the product.

I thought it was just settling from unrolling it out of the package but to this day only 3 months later it has these waves of lumps as if the coils or layers are all bunched up inside. I think it was just built wrong and defective. In the pics you can clearly see waves or bumps in the mattress. This is the inner layers. Also...the dark spots shown are not dirt. That is all pilling or lint from anything it touches. It catches any fabric against it and tears the lint off like a lint roller. I want to exchange it for a different mattress but dont know how to. Am very very angry about this. Waste of money. Is there anyone at Zinus who can help.

My fiance and I got a new king bed about 6 months ago, so we got two twins to put in it. At first they were bothTemperpedics from another store, I hated mine so I exchanged it 2 times from that store for other mattresses unfortunately, I didn't sleep well on any of them. Then I ordered a sleep number and didn't like the first one which was 1500.00 so they swaped it out for the 550.00 one with different options. I kept giving it a chance but it just didn't feel right, I slept terrible all the time so I returned that one too. After reading the reviews on this Sams club bed I thought I'd try it out as I could return it easily. The first evening I layed on it I knew it was going to be the one, I didn't have to get used to it like the other stores kept telling me. I finally found my mattress! It's not super firm or too soft, you don't sink in, that's what I was looking for. Apparently I sleep so deep that I'm talking in my sleep now:) Also, there was no smell to it, not sure what that complaint was about, I'm sensitive to smells too.

I looked at all the reviews and decides to buy without a trial. Hard to believe a real innerspring mattress can be in that small box but it was. Very easy to set up and comfortable. I am 73 years old, 250 LB with a bad back and I seep well with no back pain when I get up. Exceeded my expectations.
