I love how the brushes spin on this I feel like it gives you a better clean than a typical brush roll. I knew I needed to clean my carpets having a toddler and 2 dogs in the home but I never realized the carpets needed the deep clean they did until after running this product. I would 100 times recommended this to anyone that needs a good carpet cleaner.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I knew my carpets were dirty but come on, how dirty can they be? I have 2 large dogs, I used to have three. All of them are long haired and shed like crazy. There are several people in the house always walking around in shoes and socks so the carpets do get dirty but I never thought they were disgustingly dirty. Well... this XL Hoover Carpet Cleaner showed me just how dirty they were and how much they really needed this machine. The dirty water bin was almost like sludge on the most used carpeted area in the house. The rest of the bins were literally brown or even black. One swipe back and forth is OK at picking up all the dirt, but 2 full back and forth swipes is phenomenal. After going over the carpet 2 times and sucking up all the dirty water 2 times I make sure to go over with clean water one time and then suck that up as well. After all, who wants extra soap and possible dirty water stuck in their carpets? Keep in mind that if you want to go over your clean carpets with clean water at the end, make sure to only put enough soapy water in the tank as to not waste any. Meaning, you will have to dump out the soapy water to put in fresh clean water so make sure not to overdo it and totally fill the tank with soapy water if it is not needed and the room is not that large. This machine works great for the entire carpet in my large living room because of the large tanks. I have another carpet cleaner but it's compact and more for pet oopsies and not for doing entire rooms. I do/did use the compact one to clean small rooms and hallways, but I had to change out the bins a couple times. With this Hoover I do not have to do that! Compared to my compact machine this one obviously takes the cake. It also has more powerful suction. I actually think this is just as good as rented machines and easier to use. No more renting machines, either, with this Hoover XL!! Oh and the attachment is great, I can actually clean my drapes with it although I have not tried to do this yet. I am waiting to use the attachment on a chair that I just cleaned (go figure) and when it is dirty again I will use it. The only thing I wish this Hoover had is its own mat to sit/store on, like my compact one has. It is like a mat/bin that you put the cleaner on in case of any leaks and it makes things look neat and tidy. I will have to buy one on the internet if they have one of look for something that I can use in the same fashion.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This carpet cleaner is amazing, I have 2 other carpet cleaners in my house, one Hoover as well and one Bissell and I have to say, this one takes the cake!! It's light weight, the tank easily removes and clicks back into place. You can actually remove the tank one handed. The water capacity certainly seems larger than the other models too. I really like that the water/cleaning solution reservoir holder is one single thing versus the other models where it's separate. I tested this carpet cleaner out on my living room rug, we have 2 cats, 10 children and we foster kittens as well so the living room is a high traffic area. I just did my carpets a couple of weeks ago and then received this amazing machine and had to test it right away. I took pictures leaving a row between the areas to show the difference which there is a huge difference. I'm amazed with how well this carpet cleaner works. My adult children want one now so I'm thinking about buying them one each for their homes. I am excited to tell my friend about this too as most of my friends are pet friendly families and have children. Hands down, this is the best carpet cleaner I've ever used personally.

It's a little in the big side. But, that's just too contain all the power. It deep cleans great. Heat dries better than any other I've tried. And the powered hand scrubber is fantastic.

This Hoover PowerScrub XL+ Carpet Cleaner is perfect to clean the carpet in the bedrooms and my area rug in my living room. It all took me about an hour to do two room and the are rug. It looks a bit heavy compared to a regular vacuum but it is really easy to maneuver as you clean. I initially was adding a lot of cleaning solution to the carpet. So you do have to be careful and add just what's needed and but can add more to areas that are dirtier. The two water tanks can easily be removed to fill or drain out. It has two cleaning cycles, rinse and clean, I have only used the clean since my carpet areas needed a good cleaning. Definitely like this carpet cleaner, works great, easy to use and removed all the stains off my carpet areas. I am very impressed with the quality and easy to use. I will no longer need to rent or have someone come clean my carpet as this machine does the job.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My house is 90% carpet and I have a child and pet so my carpet gets dirty all the time, my regular vacuum didn't do enough, my carpet has some stains and it can be expensive to rent a washing carpet service, until I got this great Hoover Power Scrub XL+ Carpet Cleaner and finally I was able to get a deep cleaning of my carpets and couch. This machine is amazing! It was easy to assemble and use, if you follow instructions properly your carpets will be clean and will dry quick using the heatforce. It's lighweight, it comes with a tank easy to remove and put back into place. The five spinscrub brushes seems to do a great job, so far is a great tool to keep my carpet and home clean and fresh, especially with my child who is always playing on the floor.

It also did a great job of cleaning cat pee/spray from the carpets (which after having 6 cats can be a lot). It also did a great job of not leaving the carpet wet afterwards. Highly recommended!

It works wonders and made my carpet and couches looking brand new. I highly recommend this especially if you have pets.
