This is a must have especially if you have pets and kids. I bought more cleaning solution. The cleaning solution included didn't go far. Overall, I'm very happy. My carpet's a lot cleaner and softer.

I definitely put the Hoover PowerScrub XL+ Carpet Cleaner to good use the past few weeks. With a messy tween and three cats (we did have four but sadly, our senior cat passed away), I feel like there is always some kind of mess to clean up! This carpet cleaner made cleaning up after our senior cat easy and eliminated any trace of staining. And now when my daughter spills something (or I drop a paint brush on the carpet), it's a simple clean up instead of worrying about stains and messes. The Hoover PowerScrub XL+ Carpet Cleaner was easy to use and handle, no big bulky machine! Even my daughter could use it! Definitely a must have for any busy mom with little ones, pets or who just wants to have that wonderful "clean carpet" without the major hassles.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I knew my carpets were dirty but come on, how dirty can they be? I have 2 large dogs, I used to have three. All of them are long haired and shed like crazy. There are several people in the house always walking around in shoes and socks so the carpets do get dirty but I never thought they were disgustingly dirty. Well... this XL Hoover Carpet Cleaner showed me just how dirty they were and how much they really needed this machine. The dirty water bin was almost like sludge on the most used carpeted area in the house. The rest of the bins were literally brown or even black. One swipe back and forth is OK at picking up all the dirt, but 2 full back and forth swipes is phenomenal. After going over the carpet 2 times and sucking up all the dirty water 2 times I make sure to go over with clean water one time and then suck that up as well. After all, who wants extra soap and possible dirty water stuck in their carpets? Keep in mind that if you want to go over your clean carpets with clean water at the end, make sure to only put enough soapy water in the tank as to not waste any. Meaning, you will have to dump out the soapy water to put in fresh clean water so make sure not to overdo it and totally fill the tank with soapy water if it is not needed and the room is not that large. This machine works great for the entire carpet in my large living room because of the large tanks. I have another carpet cleaner but it's compact and more for pet oopsies and not for doing entire rooms. I do/did use the compact one to clean small rooms and hallways, but I had to change out the bins a couple times. With this Hoover I do not have to do that! Compared to my compact machine this one obviously takes the cake. It also has more powerful suction. I actually think this is just as good as rented machines and easier to use. No more renting machines, either, with this Hoover XL!! Oh and the attachment is great, I can actually clean my drapes with it although I have not tried to do this yet. I am waiting to use the attachment on a chair that I just cleaned (go figure) and when it is dirty again I will use it. The only thing I wish this Hoover had is its own mat to sit/store on, like my compact one has. It is like a mat/bin that you put the cleaner on in case of any leaks and it makes things look neat and tidy. I will have to buy one on the internet if they have one of look for something that I can use in the same fashion.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This machine works great! I recently got a puppy and she has a couple accidents. Trying everything I could the stains were still there. Using this machine on my TAN rugs, they were all clean! It also has the heat technology that dries your rugs which is awesome. It's been cold out so then being almost dry after cleaning is a major plus. The upholstery cleaner works just as great! I have a tan couch which I thought was clean but after using the water was brown! This is an awesome machine to own you won't regret it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The easiest cleaner I have ever owned and cleaning it after was so easy but cleaning is just average. The water container broke on the 2nd time I used it. Not sure if it was just a defective part or if its going to be a problem on all cleaners.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This carpet cleaner is really good!!! I got it as a free product to try and I'm really happy with it so far! The assembly was pretty easy and I love that there is a pouch for the additional brush with a hose for smaller areas and a cleaning solution bottle that come with it. The cleaning process is quite easy as well, the cleaner disperses and sucks up the water with cleaning solution quickly and efficiently! It's quite hard to see how dirty my carpet is because of its color and texture, but after running this cleaner over one spot several times the water turned out very dirty (I added a photo), so the cleaner definitely does the job I didn't even know I needed done! It takes a little time for the carpet to dry, so I tend to not clean the room I will need to walk around in soon, but it's worth it) I've got a lot of friends who asked to borrow my carpet cleaner to try out on their carpets before buying their own, so I would definitely recommend it to people)

Ery strong pulling power as it pulls the dirty water away. I then used it on my outdoor carpet on my carport. Completely surprised by how much and we'll it cleaned the carpet. Over four years of outdoor dirt and filth, just swept away in a matter of minutes.

I have been using a different brand of carpet cleaner for many years and was quite satisfied with it. However, my perspective changed after I purchased this Hoover carpet cleaner. I have beige carpet that is over 25 years old, and this machine worked wonders on it. We have a household with both cats and dogs, so messes are unavoidable. Despite this, the machine effortlessly cleaned up even the most stubborn stains, including set-in urine stains. I appreciate the separate containers for dirty and clean water, as well as the fact that there is no need to mix the cleaning solution. Additionally, removing the brush heads for cleaning is incredibly simple. Honestly, I cannot imagine a better carpet cleaner. I ended up cleaning the entire living room because the results were so impressive, which is not a bad thing at all. My carpets now look better than when I first purchased my house a few years ago. I am genuinely amazed by this product and will continue to choose this brand in the future.

My carpets and couches have never looked cleaner. This machine was so easy to use and the 8ft hose made cleaning my furniture a breeze!! I only had to change the water once for all four of my carpeted rooms and furniture which would be about 5 refills of clean water and solution in my old carpet cleaner. Some of the spots on my carpet near the door and high traffic areas have been there for a long time and I was very pleased that the Hoover PowerScrub XL with its counter rotating brushes removed those set in stains!! I am very happy with the fast drying feature as well. All around this is the best carpet cleaner I have ever used.
