[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Gillette sent me a free Gillette Fusion ProShield razor and a full size bottle of shaving gel for sensitive skin. I normally use a regular Gillette Fusions razor and was interested to see the difference that I would see with the ProShield addition. The razor works, functionally speaking, but was very uncomfortable. I've never had a problem with my regular Gillette Fusion, causing me discomfort, but the ProShield pulled at the hair as it shaved, and was extremely uncomfortable. The first time I used the razor, my facial hair was a little long so I thought that might have been a contributing factor to my discomfort, so I didn't wait as long before shaving the next time. I still had the same issue. I feel like the razor just pulls more as you shave, so while it actually gives a good shave, the discomfort is not worth it to me. While I perfer my regular razor, I do like the shaving gel and plan on continuing to use it in the future.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Gilette Fusion Proshield razor is by far one of the smoothest razors on the market. Before, saving with my old razor was somewhat painful and the shaver left nicks especially near the beard and lip areas. I really like that the Gillette Fusion Proshield had a separate area with less blades to help the shaving process. Also, the Gillette Fusion has an easy turn angle grip that allows you to shave and contour your shave. I also like that the shaver has smooth edges and is very gentle on the skin. Especially with sensitive skin, the Gillette Fusion raspy really gets close to the skin and leaves the skin feeling smooth and shaved.I am thankful that I received the Fusion Proshield for free from Gillette because this is now my go- to shaver and the best shaver that I ever owned. I recommend the Gillette Fusion razor to others out there that want a stress free shave and a shaver that upholds the test.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have always enjoyed using Gillettes razors and the new Fusion Proshield is no different, except I enjoy this more than any other razor I have tried. I have had painful experiences shaving the mustache area and would typically need to use a separate razor with fewer blades to get it done, the Fusion Proshield however has a single razor located on the back. I am glad that I received the Fusion Proshield for free from Gillette so I can know what else is out there, because more often than not I tend to stick to one kind of razor for fear of change ending badly. I will definitely be buying this razor in the future!

The reason why I gave this product a four star rating is because I thought the razor heads that are made for this razor in my opinion are TOO BIG! They are almost built like a razor head for a female razor because the extra lotion strip is just too big unless you're just using this razor to shave your head and or your body then it's perfect. As for doing your face, unless you shave your whole face, it can be a little bit of an inconvenience. The extra lotion strip should either be made smaller or possibly be made optional to be removed and maybe put back on by the customer. I used the razor and along with the razor Gillette also sent me an extra head for the razor, so that's two heads along with a big can of Gilette shaving gel. So I used both products together and got a great shave!! But, I have a well groomed beard, not a really long beard but a beard. I'm really picky about my appearance and found it a little difficult to navigate the razor to properly make my beard and hairline straight and on point. Other than that the product is great and I will continue to use it! Thanks Gilette!!

I am allergic to nickel and any other razor would have me skin looking like a grapevine but this razor has done no such thing. Gillette I believe you are on to something great with this product...Thank you!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I currently use the Gillette Pro Glide and thought that was the best razor I've ever used, but I was wrong! When I received the product for free from Gillette I was really excited! I really love the flex ball, it really gets the spot under the jaw line. I occasionally get razor bumps so I have to be careful when and how I shave. The Pro-shield really doesn't pull the hair like I expected and cuts the hairs deep.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using this razor for a couple of weeks now. It is an excellent razor, as I would expect from Gillette. I have used it for daily shaves as well as a couple of times with multiple days' worth of stubble. The updates since the Fusion Proglide, my current razor, seem to be the addition of a lubricating/moisturizing strip under the blades (see picture, comparing the two) and a pivoting ball in the handle. It is the same size as the Proglide and the shave is very similar. The blades are interchangeable with other Fusion handles, so you could use the new blades with your old handle or use your old blades with this handle. Bottom line, I don't see much of a difference between this razor and the older Fusion razors. However, since I do have some tricky spots, like under my jaw bone, the pivoting handle makes it a tiny bit more agile, which is why I will continue to use this handle with the rest of the proglide blades I have at home. Also, I like that they kept the single blade at the top for hard-to-reach areas- I use that under my nose and a couple of other tricky spots. It is definitely miles above any of the subscription services I have tried that claim to be inexpensive, but provide cheap blades needing replacement far more often. I didn't even feel I needed to use after shave when done it was such a smooth and easy shave!

All Gillette Products are great; especially their razors! This really gave me a really close shave! I used to use the cheap razors, but now I am going to use this kind. I will tell my buddies about this, because I know they will enjoy it! At first, I was wondering if it really was going to work, but it really does! I recommend this product 100%!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Gillette Fusion ProGlide razor is a great manual razor, but depending on how you shave, the ProShield may work better. The difference between the two razors is that the ProShield has a 1/8" strip added to the bottom of the cartridge to apply gel before the blades, not just afterwards. Performance with gel: I found very little difference between the two razors when using a gel. In fact, I'd give the win to the ProGlide just because it is an 1/8" shorter so it was more manueverable. Performance with hot water/soap: This is where the ProShield razor shines. It gives the benefits of using gel to most of the face. Due to it's extra length, it is nearly impossible to shave in such a way under your nose or other tricky areas to apply the lube. For that reason, I deducted a star. Overall, the Fusion ProShield is a great option for those of us that don't always prefer to use gel or other treatments. I received this product in addition to a can of Fusion ProGlide sensitive gel in exchange for my honest opinion.
