I recieved this in the mail this morning for Free! This razor came in a box saying happy 18th birthday. After using many other razors previously I can say this is the best razor you can get. I wouldn't recommend any other razor. I will definitely recommend this razor to all of my friends and family.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been using Gillette razors since I first could shave. They have come a long ways since the two blade cartridges that would clog up easily. Once the Proglides came out, I knew no other razor would do. Since then, Gillette has come out with variations of the Proglides, including fusions and now these Proshields with Flexball. I have tried them all, including the battery operated power versions. They're all great, but is an extra lube strip or rotating ball really necessary? I find generally not. You get a great shave with or without the Flexball. I've been using it daily for about a week and I get the smooth shave I expect from Gillette, but I find not much noticeable advantage to the Flexball. The only thing I can think of is the flexing ball might make it less likely to miss a spot, which I've been known to do when shaving in a hurry. So, I'm giving it a five star review since it is another great razor, but I find all the extra bells and whistles to be mainly for marketing and not really adding much to the shave.

I was surprised at how much smoother it was than the Fusion or the Turbo. The pivoting head really makes a difference. The overall blade head is bulky, but I am sure if that can be avoided. I am not a big fan of the "extra" blade on the top of the razor for clean-up edges. I feel like it is going to slice my nose as a shave. I wish there was a with and without option on that one. Really the show stealer to me was the shaving gel can. There is no cap for the shaving cream, you just turn the top to unlock it. Turn it back to lock it. This is great for traveling. Also, not gross build-up inside the cap. The bottom is "no-rust". I would like the shaving gel to have a little more menthol to it, but if you like a like "cooling" feeling then this is a good choice. This gel did not foam up as much as I thought it would. I worked it with my finger tips and it formed a layer, but I had to use about a nickel size amount of gel. I will try with a shaving brush to see how it lathers.

I have been a Gillette user for years now and I didn't think they could out-do themselves after the Fusion Pro Glide Power. The Fusion Flex Ball is amazingly better. It literally glides across my face, no matter how many days I haven't shaved. And the best part.....NO MORE INGROWN HAIRS. I never really had irritation with any Gillette product, and the same holds true with the Flexball Razor. Definitely a MUST TRY. I have used it 5 times already and the blades are still as smooth and sharp as the first shave. I can foresee buying less cartridge refills for this razor.

I have used multiple razor blades, and of a person having a heavy beard growth, this razor maintains performance in every shave! So you don't have to go spending a lot of money on new cartridges every week! The flex ball helps navigate through edges like your jaw, which otherwise used to cut thru my skin. The Shaving Gel provided by Gilette adds additional lubrication for a smooth and hassle free shave. Overall, an Amazing Product!!

I have been a long time Gillette user and was excited to see what kind of improvements they made over the past iterations of their famous razors. The fact that this razor moisturizes BEFORE and AFTER shaving makes it the best on the market. My facial hair grows in odd directions, but I had no problem at all using this razor to get a smooth shave over the entire area on which I used it. I would definitely recommend this razor to anyone who is thinking of upgrading to a tool that takes the guesswork out of shaving.

The Gillette ProShield Razor is all you will ever need to get the cleanest, closet shave you will ever want. Gillette sent me one of the fine razors for free to test out and give you my opinion. I'm not a push over for free product by any means. So, trust me, I love this razor because it is just that good. The Flexball Texhnology that has been incorporated to this razor makes second to none. I have never had a shave as close as the one as I got with this razor. You will waste your money on anything else. Pick up one of these today and you will be amazed!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I started shaving my head about 10 years ago when I started to go bald and have always used a standard Gillette Fusion razor. I was excited to get a free sample of the Gillette Fusion ProShield Razor with Flexball to see if it was any different. This new razor certainly did the trick giving a smooth shave, although I didn't really notice much difference in ease of use or shave quality. It did seem a bit easier to navigate around my Adam's apple while shaving my neck which is always a touchy area that gets nicked from time to time. Overall I'd say it's a great razor, but I'd probably stick with my regular standard Gillette Fusion razor if priced less.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received a razor, and a can of shaving cream for sensitive skin from Gillette. Chances are if you're looking at this product, you have an interest in how the swivel head works, and it works well. I will go into detail about that, and some of the very interesting things about the shaving cream can and use. I feel that this razor has made a substantial improvement that all other razors have been missing. That improvement being the swivel head, before my chin was a tricky area, and I would occasionally cut it, or have to go over it a second time. With this new razor I can see it swivel into spots that a normal non swivel razor would not do on the first go around. Also the first time I used it I noticed a closer shave than I normally get, repeated use of course will slowly dull the razor out which I have noticed, as with any razor I use. The one thing I wish it had that my other razors do, is a powered "vibration", this makes shaving feel much smoother, I don't know why but I instantly missed it when I tried the razor. The shaving cream provided has a very well thought out can, I know people don't normally think about the can but they did a great job. The cap can be twisted on the can to "close" it for travel, which is a very nice detail. I also noticed the can is rust proof, not sure if this is done with plastic or something else, and the can has a gauge on the side which tells you how full it is. I thought that was a great touch also, all three were big hitters for me. The shaving cream itself, a little goes a long way, and I can definitely feel it on my face, I don't know if it's a hot sensation or a cold sensation though. Once I wipe it off any sensations I did have go away. Overall I really like the razor, and the shaving cream can was quite possibly over engineered but I love how they did it and was really quite impressed. The one thing I miss in the razor is no battery power for that "vibration".
