[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My first razor ever was by Gillette. However, for the last 10+ years, I've used the 'S' competitor because I felt that I got a closer shave. I have to admit that before receiving my free sample from Gillette, I never thought I'd have anything positive to say, but I was very wrong: First, as far as the closest shave goes, the competitor still has the edge. However, I quickly discovered that there is more to a good shave than closeness. I found that the Gillette Fusion® ProShield™, while not shaving as close, caused much less skin irritation. I always use a Neutrogena face wash after shaving, which normally causes a significant burning sensation. With the Gillette Fusion® ProShield™, that irritating burning sensation was significantly and almost completely diminished. The lubrication before and after the blades definitely seems to makes a difference. Furthermore, my wife actually commented that my face feels smoother/softer. So the Gillette Fusion® ProShield™ trades extreme closeness for smoothness, because there is much less skin irritation. The only downside I found with the Gillette Fusion® ProShield™ vs. the competitor was that I have to shave slightly more often. I was also pleasantly surprised by the Flexball™ Technology. Although it makes little difference in most areas, it definitely helped my navigate around my chin. In the end, my very positive experience with the Gillette Fusion® ProShield™ Razor with Flexball™ Technology will not cause me to throw out the extra cartidges I still have from the competitor, but once I run out I'll definitely be looking to Gillette.

My wife and I usually fight over razors because she likes to shave her legs with mine. They usually wear it after the razor has been used 4 times. That didn't happen with this razor though! I used it first this time. Normally I will have several nicks all over my face from previous razors, but I didn't wth this one! The ball technology is really amazing! It helps go over chin, jaw line, and even cheek bones. It has contoured my face when no other razors could! My wife really liked it too. She said she hadn't got any nicks from it, nor has she got a closer shave yet!

I wasn't sure what to expect with this new razor but whatever expectations I did have went out the door after I tried it just once. I've since used it only one additional time. This pack came with a free sample of gel and the bottle of gel indicated that it used "mess free" technology. And you know what? It works! It's awesome! There is absolutely no extra gel that comes squirting out after you are done pressing the button. Everything stays in the container! I love it! Now, to the razor itself: It's great! It's slick! I like the comfort of having those little rubber pads both on the top AND bottom of the razor blades. And, the rolly-ball feature makes shaving super easy because it just goes with your flow! You will want to try this razor and the shaving gel that comes with it. Caution: The gel must not be for "sensitive" skin because each time that I use it I end up, as always, getting some around my lips and on my lips and it caused a stingy sensation on my lips. It also tingled a bit on my face so that's why I am thinking that it isn't for "sensitive" skins. It still works great and I love the "no mess" bottle! No more icky, old, shaving cream stuck on the outside of your gel container. Take a look at my before and after pictures!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recieved a free proshield razor in the mail two weeks ago.at first,I wondered what would be so different about it,since it resembles the standard fusion line.wow,was I wrong!!!the razor glides so effortlessly on every part of my face.I have sensitive skin,and was used to seeing redness and patches after shaving.this new fusion left no abrasion whatsoever.after a week of using it,I was actually able to shave without gel,which is awesome,because I don't always have time to prep my face.I have shaved every single day since I got it and the blade still feels as if I just took it out of the package.I can tell that Gillette has definitely improved upon their blade longevity.I am so excited about this new and very innovative product,and encourage everyone,especially guys like me who have sensitive skin,to get one yesterday!!!I will not shave with anything else from now on!!

After many, many years, I tried a new razor and company for several months. One day, after realizing the "new" razor wasn't getting as close I like, I went back to Fusion. I call it the yellow beard beater. Even with just soap and water, the closeness of my shave is awesome. Hooray, I'm back with what consistently does the job! Oh, by the way, I get a minimum of 3 weeks a blade.

The Gillette Fusion Proshield with flex ball technology is made of some really great quality materials . The body is made mostly of metal and feels like it would last a long time even with heavy use. My razor came with two cartridges and are easy to change with just a quick forward press of the yellow button at the top of the handle. The cartridges have lubrication before and after the blades and also have a precision trimmer on the back of the blades for accurate edging. I was really pleased with the performance of the razor. I Just slathered on some of my favorite shave cream/Gel and the flex ball technology really did a great job following the curves and contours of my face. This is a great razor and a step up from the disposables i have used in the past. The Gillette Fusion Proshield is my new razor of choice!

This razor cut magically and gave me the closest shave I've experienced on my beard in the quickest amount of time. The multi-blade system was sharp and close, but proved to be very safe and gentle against my sensitive skin. I loved the way the razor glided smoothly over my face, giving me total control of the motion I wanted to go. The razor collected a lot of facial hair, but it was remarkably easy to clean with a splash of hot water and a quick flick of the wrist. I would serious recommend this razor to any man or woman. My wife also used it on her legs and was blown away by the quality. The Gillette Fusion ProShield Razor with Flexball Technology is a beautiful mix of powerful and gentle. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] What would I want to know before I get this product? Well, that's pretty simple. The first thing that comes to mind is how much are refill razor cartridges and what's the blade's longevity? Because ultimately, this is what consumers are worried about - how much more am I going to have to pay to continue to use this product. I'll admit, the refills aren't cheap. However, I've used a similar product for almost a year before having to replace the razor blade. Now, one must also realize that depends on the frequency of shaving as well. I currently only shave about twice a week.
